In case you needed two more reasons why SPEEDWOLF rules:

I can't hear this at work, but these images plus being named after a High On Fire song = high chance of rock.

speaking of High On Fire, just got tickets to the Metalocalypse tour - Dethklok (which should be a laugh, maybe), Mastodon, and High On Fire. pretty stoked!

Your name and the fact that you like Anthrax and Manowar is pretty damn funny.  Washed up.

If you don't like Manowar, you can just go fuck yourself.

i'm so sick and tired of people trying to tell me that the black dahlia murder is such a sweet metal band. just because they play with distortion and a double bass drum doesn't make them good metal. i know you weren't doing that, but they're very overrated.

If you wanna make it big in the states all you have to do is cut your hair, get those earrings that looks like assholes, tattoo-sleeves. Write sucky emotional lyrics with a dude who can sing clean on the choruses. Lots of blast beats and shitty harmonies.

I'd say you're a 19 year old that likes shit because it's "funny".  Sorry man, I just don't get into dudes in leather vests singing about "climbing to glory" and swords.  It's corny as fuck.

I've actually learned to enjoy dumb fantasy-based lyrics from metal bands if they're good metal bands, which Manowar is not.
I guess I'm thinking of The Sword here, maybe Amon Amarth.

I am, however, completely anti-greasy Italian dudes in loincloths.

here's a few- I'd never seen an Amon Amarth video before, and it's wild.
I haven't seen vids like this since the 80's.

it's amazing to me that death metal singers are still doing the "i'm holdling an invisible ball" hand gestures and shit, though.

Nice call on Witch.  Did you know that J Mascis from Dinosaur Jr is in Witch?  Lately I have been on a decent Black Metal kick with Weapon, Black Anvil, Krallice, and the new Immortal
damn i had no idea, he plays drums for them. even more hyped on them now. Black Anvil sounds sick, not as treble-ish/static sounding as alot of black metal. good shit HATE

Yeah, I can't ever find any black metal that I can really fully back.
It's either too lo-fi and hissy (which I sometimes dig in punk or garage, but not metal),
or it has weird prog influences.
Are there any black metal records that have audible bass?

shiiit, when I drag myself out of the 50's I'll give some of that a shot.

I wonder what Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, or Link Wray would make of Burzum?

I'm pretty sure if those Norweigan makeup-wearers were Jerry Lee's kids, he would slapped the fucking corpse paint off 'em.

I honestly wouldn't listen enough to know, but I can say that the bands I mentioned are among the ones I like.  Probably include Watain (which is more or less a Dissection rip off) and Deathspell Omega.  And I like the one man USBM bands like Leviathan/Lurker Of Chalice, and Xasthur

you're not really gonna hear bass in any black metal. but one straight up black metal band i like is profundi. it's a one man band with one o the guys from naglfar, but it isn't commercial at all.

Have you noticed how great every Amon Amarth video is?  I'm out the door to work, but I'll post them later if no one else does first

That's because Amon Amarth are fucking Viking badasses. I love that band, because their lyrics are all like folklore and war stories about Vikings and Germans fighting and shit. I love being part Norwegian.

I see you focused your acct.  Regardless that is one of the most boring uninspired lists I have ever seen.  Sure, lots of good ones on there, but all safe.  Go experiment.

thank you HATE!. i didn't want to say anything to rag on the kid, but it's as if he picked every shirt that chris cole has worn and started to listen to those bands while throwing in a few shitty metalcore bands.

whitemanjaz--  the last 3 bands you put on there-- Never thought I'd see them listed in Slap.  Acid Bath is HUGELY influential and vastly underrated.  WOLD is some of the weirdest shit out there-- you really have to be into checking some shit out to get into them.  And Lurker Of Chalice... one of my favorites.  Do you like Leviathan as well?

Been craving some heavy shit. there is so much out there

haven't listened to em but I've had disembowelment's "transcendence into the peripheral" on heavy rotation. little gorguts and cobalt here and there.
