microwaving shoes to form to foot?
« on: April 02, 2009, 07:34:13 PM »
A friend of mine had mentioned doing this awhile ago and said it works. I recently bought some shoes that fit a little tight and thought i would try this. Anyone else try this?

yea it works... not as well as wearing them to truly break them in but it does help.

bout 30 -45 seconds of nuking slam them on your feet ( wear an extra pair of socks or two) and tighten your shoes right up and stand and walk around in them..

should notice a bit of a difference.

I actually did try it out once. I microwaved them for about 30 seconds, put them on and walked around for about a minute ot two then repeated the process 4-5 times. I think it only works for a little while, at least for the sole.

if there's any metl on your shoe that shit will blow up!

Try putting wet towels in your shoes and put them under the heater,.. the heat should do the rest.

Try buying shoes that fit.

Failing that, you can buy little shoe stretcher devices that I think aren't too expensive.

Actually I think that one was $39.95 on that website which I guess ads to the cost of your original purchase significantly. However from the looks of that thing it can probably double as some ultra freaky-deaky sex toy, so you're probably getting your money's worth.

I like to put my shoes in a 450 degree oven for about 12-18 minutes with a little olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper and lemon.

I just buy my shoes about 9 or 10 sizes too big. I like my shoes baggy.

make sure you throw a couple forks & spoons inside your shoe before you do it.

also, wrapping them in tin foil helps alot
would you rather hear "woo" from the omar salazar pack? i wouldn't. their "yeahs" are genuine, and cool. "yeah" has been the battle cry of skaters for as long as i can remember.

Sorry bud, wishing i could make it out. I sense some W's in the near future.

allways,...
your nut.

Anyway, I ended up throwing each shoe in for 45 seconds and it seemed to help. I have always have a hard time buying shoes because certain shoes break in loads and become way floppy. When shoes are baggy or floppy thats when i feel that ankles are more prone to rolling. So i buy my shoes snug and they usally break in and fit perfect.

I use microwaves to shrink chip bags.  It is seriously the best thing to do with chip bags when you are done eating them.  Preserves the graphics and everything.  Learned it at the gun club just fuckin around.

this works great with cats and other small animals
