I've never been to Chicago and have no spots to tell you of but from what I've heard it has a ton of spots all over downtown.

there are tons of spots but most of the really famous ones (the van gogh, the sea wall) or pretty hard to skate or a bust. i would head to wilson skate park. it's right on the lake is open late night and is free.

thanks cuddlemonster, I've got directions to the park and I'm definitely going to skate it.

Anyone have any suggestions as far as (vegetarian friendly) places to eat or other things to do?

any specifically veggie freindly place is pretty trendy but earwax cafe is good and pick me up cafe has the best vegan milshakes, vegan or otherwise, i've ever had.

it's right "under" the shedd aquarium. go to shedd and you'll see a bike path, the shedd is kind of built on a hill and the bike path goes down. follow it and viola.

Going to Chi in about 6 weeks, what else is going on besides the Wilson Park for concrete trannys, or any other worthy parks in general nearby?

Any good banks, wallrides, weird shit, etc. that is a must see in the city?
Any and all insider info would be appreciated!

There is those recycled plasic benches at the art museum on chicago ave, wilson is on wilson ave, there's shit all over. You can definately skate all over downtown. The clocktower is really good. Hit up Uprise skate shop ( the best in town) or Army Surplus on Belmont is alright too, but definately just hit up Uprise. Iowa City is good, so is Minneapolis. Milwaukee is ok, but you gotta drive to spots. Madison is pretty good.

MInneapolis looks so fun.....I just watched a video yesterday called "Weekend Warriors" and during the first dudes part he skated this weird painted red sculpture thing.....god that thing looks fun. Nate Compher's footage was not bad either....it's always cool to see some footy of that dude.

I saw that shit today, sooooo good!
That was a really well produced video, and the skating was really impressive also.
Looks like a fun scene in the midwest...
Can't wait to hit it up next month!

If you guys like weekend warriors try and get "All In" from phobia skate shop. More good shit produced by the same guy who did weekend warriors. I've not skated that red sculpture thing, trying to go next weekend
