Raccoons might be the ultimate pet

they are kind of family animals like dogs so they want to hang around you and do things with you . Smart enough to work out most things around the house and do well solo , kind of like a monkey . Cute as fuck and funny

gonna google if you can buy raccoons somewhere !

When my dad was a kid he found a baby raccoon who's mother was but by a car. He took it home for a few weeks and said it was a pretty good pet until it got big. He said it was really smart and didn't like being kept in a confined space and became really destructive. He said it figured out how to unlock its cage and break out, then it would go to the fridge and take out jars of mayonise and make a huge mess then would be super mean when you tried to put it back in the cage once it got out. Most animals that are really intellegent don't make for good pets because they hate being kept in cages, but you can't trust them enough to give them free range of your house when you're not home.

Yeah , I know what you are saying . But just Like a dog I wouldnt want to leave a animal alone in the house for more then a hour or so and I would never lock it up . I mean a room with toys , food and a window with wire or bars and so on would be ok for a hour .

I always thought dogs shouldnt be left alone at home for more then a hour and walked 3-4 ,1 hour walks a day . I never really liked the way some people never really walk their dogs and just leave them out in the yard or in the house for all days

If I did get a raccoon I would make sure it had plenty of toys , nice yard , nice environment with somebody almost always with it . They are very intelligent pets so they need to play and learn tricks , keeping them activated and not bored

I really hate the fact that ive moved countries so much and work jobs that keep me at work more then at home when it comes to pets . Would like to have so many pets =(

but you really need to have time to spend with their pets , they are living things not toys
