Today Zoo's new video "State Of Mind" premiers in NYC tonight and we're dropping an article around the video- check it out, complete with new photos of everybody on the team, an exclusive edit of footage, an interview with long time Zoo associate and team filmer RB Umali, and audio captions by team photographer Sean Cronan.

we'll also have a new Trivia contest coming later today with a chance for 10 people to win copies of the vid, a board and a bunch more stuff.

You want honest feedback when you post this stuff right? Here is mine- Who gives a fuck about Zoo York? They haven't been cool or relevant since Ecko and when they started firing dudes for having shitty board sales for single months. Zoo york shoes by skechers? ok..... Just saying, how many actual skateboarders really give a shit about them anymore? I doubt very many. Now I just associate that shit with Ashton Kutcher and awkward fat white kids trying to be hip hop.

There's a dork on the squad from the same hometown as me that I used to skate with back then so I keep a mild interest in how he's doing.

I do not give a fuck about Zoo York.
Their team, however, is fucking amazing, and im sure this video will be too.  zered, deily, eli reed, suski, barley, westgate. fuckkkk. chazz ortiz will do good tricks too. still not hyped on him but his only coverage has been contests and proof... so well see.

Meh, I don't know. Team is decent I guess, still, I'd rather see a behind the scenes on darkstar.

yes, we always want feedback. thank you gipper.
i'm not here to defend or attack the way the run the company. what i am here to do is say that i'm personally looking forward to some new footage of barley, zered, matt miller, suski and westgate. that seems fine to me.

How much you want to bet Barley uses recycled footy? Loved the dude back in the day, wish he didn't get so fucking lazy.

Yeah i'm expecting a minute and a half barley part, with like 1/3 of the footage already used.

The video SHOULD be good, hopefully they're easy on the "NEW YORK SONGS" editing they always do.

This is incredible:

barley's double ollie is sick, and while i haven't been paying 100% close attention to what footage he's been putting out lately the stuff in the out-takes clip we have didn't look familiar to me, so i'm hoping everything that did make the cut is new too...

yeah, its funny this is dropping tonight...I watched their ellis island promo today before I went to skate. Kinda wish welsh, igie, aquil, john kroesser were gonna be in this, imagine them, joey pepper, all the dues now minus ortiz and some gorecki footage thrown in? that would make a for a great video.

for me, the make-or-break with this one is gonna be the soundtrack. I hope its some classic shit, anything mediocre or even less than excellent music will make this a one-watch for me...minus the select few like reed!

I liked the photos and sequences in the article and thought it was cool to see some footy at the end to keep me wanting to see the video.  I wonder if it reflects in anyway the order the parts will be in.  Probably not.  I also agree with Biggums in the importance of the soundtrack.  I plan on watching this more than once regardless, being a big fan of a lot of guys on the team, but I still am hoping for a good or at least decent soundtrack.

Obviously I am in the minority. Zered should be good, I guess I know this won't be like peep this or any of the old zoo, and it rubs me wrong. It's like element, they got a bunch of good riders now, but it just feels wrong.

ill agree, peep this is definately one of my favorite vids ever, the spencer opening part, anthony correa looking clean as fuck doing nollie cabs, the quim/huf part with a frontside wallride nollie 180 in there, and of course the best kickflip ever filmed courtesy of kalis.

even since like vicious cycle or even ellis island the team has completely changed. lurker lou, aquil, joey pepper, welsh, so many left. i think that the team is still real good right now though. zered, westgate, ELI FOR FUCKING SURE, barley, deily, man there are gonna be some banging ass parts, i have no doubt in my mind. and if it isnt, ill just download it and never purchase it

I respect your honestly but I actually like the current team and I'm really looking forward to this vid. I really can give two shits about the Zoo York corp. image. This video is going to be a breath of fresh air and by the looks of the recent b-roll footy a winner. RB's go a good thing going and seems to be keeping with the Eastern Exposure influence skate video style that I love...I'll support that.

I'm living in Australia at the moment and the Melbourne premier is coming up soon. The companies image may be lame, but the video should be good and premiers are always fun. I went to see a local video last weekend and some guy got tackled down the steps of the theater for yelling 'slut' repeatedly at some girl, or some business like that.
