heard about this yesterday, not the hugest fan but down to check it out

just had a conversation with my wife about the album and it pretty much sums up how i feel about this

[08:57] me: and the song was about new york and alicia keys keeps singing "new york, new york"
[08:58] me: and it was so obvious that he was trying to have his New York, New York classic like frank sinatra

na he's just lazy now, he said in an interview that he hasn't written his own shit for a good couple years now.


to say that jay-z just talks and he'd sound the same in a conversation is  just wrong though, have you ever heard him just talk? He sounds nothing like when he's rapping.. Listen to reasonable doubt or some of his early clips on youtube when he's a teenager and you'll change your mind.

I think its pretty mediocre, not even close to what iv heard in the past from him.

I am not a huge jay-z fan but he does have some good tracks. Lucifer is a stand out favorite of mine. But the grey album made him sound the best.
