I wonder if this series would be good in this day and age.
The 2009 season would be hard to top.
they had 4 people who are still relevant to this day.
Stain, Fitzgerald ,Edwards and Milic.

I only watched it for the first time this week and loved it, it would still be a sick show if it was in that 2009 format, but just tightened up a bit.  Fitzgerald is a beast.

"relevant" is a strong word i guess but Reuben Barrack just had an ad for Zero not long ago. Pretty cool to see him pop back up ripping, he was very likeable on camera

Forrest as the heel was great TV

shouldn't

Crazy that Reuben is only just now getting an ad, I really thought he’d end up further than Milac.

I’d watch a new OIAM more like the 09 or 08 season. Still think David Bowens should have one, I like Tom K, but David was the real standout.

that was the joke. rueben tries to hug him when he rolls away from the 360 flip 5050 down clipper on oiam & forrest pushes him away.

Good for Reuben, crazy he was only like 16 when that was filmed. So he’s still got plenty of years ahead of him. His style was very developed at that time. Didn’t he almost heelflip el Toro around that time too?

What was it again that made people so mad at Alex Klein? I always enjoyed his skating, but later when he became the producer of this show he somehow pissed people off with OIAM's last season. I don't remember what the drama was all about, but I remember people being pissed.

Think he talked shit on the skaters for basically quitting the show mid way through which is understandable, but also understandable from the skaters pov because the challenges and the whole format was fucking wack

the show had a new producer, the cast/talent went into revolt and the show couldn’t carry on.

I think the first season was cool, it didn't take itself too seriously and just getting kids familiar with SF...Forrest reminded me of 90s skaters, a lot of skaters i knew at the time sounded a lot like forrest

I was very bummed on the last season.

Shit could have been funny. If I was on that shit I definitely believe I could have gotten the kids to have fun and do the kook shit.

Wasn't like Cards and Julian present too.

I would have like John gimme a lip dog there's no smoking on camera. Watch this shit. I'm going to do a dope ass line with the pizza. Do a switch flip and focus the winners board because they didn't take the opportunity to go out with style.

I'm a soul skater too.

I believe Alex Klein talked bad on marijuana and Henry Sanchez fist fought him at the pier. this was tapwater Sanch not fancy water Sanch.
he ruined OIAM (maybe not singlehandedly but he bore the brunt).
Forrest wasn't kindest but he's the skater's skater.

Tom K, Big John, Forrest, and now Rueben. JT loves OIAM. Maybe he should re-launch it as “Zero In A Million” and just make it about him trying to find the next Zero Am. I probably would watch.
