Youtube kids.
« on: September 11, 2009, 07:20:27 AM »
Don't get me wrong, Youtube and Vimeo has introduced us to some undoubtedly sick skaters. But this thread is for those shitty kids who film everything they do and are fuckin' terrible. I'll start it off.

If there's one thing that I'm proud of myself for, it's that I never did that.

Yeah...
you'd probably be a youtube kid if it weren't for one of two things: you either suck ass, or you don't know anyone with a camera.

you just don't know anyone with a camera.

I don't suck, I'm fairly average. I own a camera, it's just I think it's obnoxious to haul a camera to all of my damn spots. Filming isn't my thing.

It's probably a bit premature to put his board out--I'd wait for his next big video part, but homie should be full on am status, for sure.
i saw my grandma bail off a 4 set once in my house and she even got up and came to red lobster after.

It's just because I have a tendency to get really into whatever I'm interested in, so I got really into skating about a year ago, ordered back issues of 80's Thrashers, watched Video Days religiously (not even because I enjoyed it at the time, but because I felt like it was the best representation of skating) never skated parks, always bought legit product from my local shop, never focused my board, and pretty much avoided all the mistakes of my current generation. If you learn the history, it's easier to gain perspective on where you are in skating. It's my favorite thing to do in the world.

If I could get one single thing across to all the kids who post driveway footage of themselves and so on, it would be GO FASTER. There's nothing more annoying than seeing people try tricks when they're barely moving, I mean, it's actually way easier to do things if you give it more than half a push first

I'm a You Tube whore and I thank people for watching mine when applicable (usually before or after reviews)... over time you wind up with your own little community of little YT subscriber-homies and you start making vids for them, or at least you're aware that they're going to be the first people to watch your clips. I don't haze on kids that film and upload random stuff... when I was a kid we filmed everything to VHS and sometimes did the old dual-vcr editing thing. It's the same thing, kids just have more of an audience now. It's good dumb fun.

I was never questioning why they would do it, I just think it's really funny when I watch there videos and was asking people to post some more.

HAHAHAHA THE FUCKIN MUSTACHE!!

Everything that idiot said is spot on for a typical cocky skateboarding youtube kid or whatever.

"Haven't done it in a long time"

"Let's just go double"

"Nah let's do triple!"

"I probably can't even do one!"

Lands it.
