After looking at all the cruisers I just had to go out and buy one. Went down to some shop and picked up a zip zinger with indy 139s and some classic spitfire 56s 80d. I went to a park here on the cape and just pumped around on it and rode the mini. I had a blast skating the zip zinger, it is so damn fast and smooth. I was a bit tired so I drove back home and on the 20 minute drive got so psyched to ride again. Came home dropped some shit off and went out and skated around. I bombed a bunch of hills and ended up skating over 3 miles. God damn I can't wait for the rain to get the fuck out of here and I can ride again.

I want to get a Zipzinger/zagger or one of those cork-top Habitat boards, Indys and some big ol' soft wheels when I get the money.

This is how I get to and from work (at least until it starts pouring down on the Pacific Northwest).  OG Zipzinger (used to be a purple Krooked Hosoi Guest board from when he was still in prison), Indys, old set of Rock'n Ron's Ceramic Bearings, and Satori Goo Balls.  This thing flies down the streets.

When I was stationed overseas in Yokosuka, Japan, I would scout out new destinations with my cruiser when my ship would hit port.  The first night of liberty, I would try to cover as much ground as possible on this to find spots for the next day when I'd bust out my street board.  Saved me a lot of valuable time, and those wheels have seen most of Southeast Asia including Shanghai, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, and quite a bit of Japan.

i've actually done the highest 360 flips of my life on my little nano- because it's smaller and lighter and has a shorter wheelbase, it pops up really fast. feels great. i would never ride anything i couldn't ollie up a curb on most definitely. on a cruiser i just want to be able to jam around, ollie up curbs, bonk off sidewalk cracks, snap off curb cuts, wallie parking blocks, huck the periodic 360 flip, and i can do all that- which is precisely why i didn't like the big cruisers. it's just a different feeling than a regular board, puts you in a different mood. skate whatever and however you like, that's the whole point.
No doubt-the Nanos are real fun to mess around on! I skate small boards anyways so the biggest difference is the high trucks/big and soft wheels.

the anti hero used to be my bar board in SF.  My homie found a pair of Powell rollerskates at a garage sale, and we split up the wheels.  i think they're 65's.  The little one is a plus cruiser.  Its pretty close to the zip zinger shape.  I really need to get some of the soft spitfire classics.  The streets here look like beirut, and i ride my trucks matt rodriguez loose, so skating to and from the bar can get a little tedious.

theres some ok shit in here. ok its not the gayest shit i have ever seen but i just feel like i have way more control on my normal board and i couldnt see myself switching to something more difficult just for the sake of it being more difficult. i dont even like skating switch that much im so used to my shit being a certain way. i might ride one of these boards in the rain. they need to make something for that made out of stainless or some shit.

The set up I just bought isn't that much more difficult to ride. Some things, like skating a tranny, are easier for me. I was skating a mini ramp today and my zip zinger is so fast and easy to skate.

But different strokes for different strokes.

My boy Brian Kelly skates a stainless steel board and seems to like it.

I can't imagine anyone decent at skateboarding having a cruiser, unless they film.

What some y'all not understanding people don't get is that sometimes it's just a fun change of pace.  Skateboarding doesn't have to be just your normal 7.5"-8.5" symmetrical board with hard white wheels and precisely tuned trucks.  You ever do a blunt to fakie on a quarterpipe with a 4 foot longboard.  That is some funny shit.  Open your fucking minds for fucks sake.  Uptight motherfuckers in this shit.

What wheels would i be better off getting for a zip zinger, spitfire 80d's or just the zip zinger wheels

I don't know from experience, but the guy at the shop I bought mine from said the zip zinger wheels weren't as good as the spitfire classics. So far my classics have been great.

The board on the left

With ACE 33's and old school soft Krypto's, a lot of fun to ride around, though my oldest has been riding it more then me as of late.

If I had an extra couple hundred bones I would've definitely bought a Janoski cork grip cruiser setup today.  Though cork grip may not be very practical, the Hopps one was sick too.
