hows the shape on the schroder?

Shape is rad! wish I could get another one as the nose ran into a wall and caused a big chip, nothing that a little wood glue and a vice couldn't repair.

Thanks, I did the grip, I've never tried to do a grip job like that, but I really like how it turned out. Now if it would just stop raining/snowing i could ride it more, so far I've only gotten to make one trip to the video store/rite-aid with it.

Did you cut it first and then apply, or grip it and cut it? Either way seems like a lot of work.

I cut it as I was putting it on. It takes a little bit longer than normal, but really it's not bad. Basically, you just start at the bottom of the sheet, cut (or rip) a shape, then put it on the board, moving from top to bottom or vice-versa. as you move up the sheet the cut lines match up pretty easy on the board.

Do zingers come gripped? I've only ever seen the tops of them with a fancy pattern-cut line around the name.

That creature one is sick!

No, but it's not hard to do.

On my Zig Zagger I just used 1 sheet of grip, penciled the cut lines, used a long metal ruler to cut out the design (leaving some corners still stuck together) then applied the sheet as straight as I could like you would normally grip a board then just peeled out the design, then pushed down/smoothed out the grip.

I was thinking about what I would get if I wanted a cruiser, and this is the exact board I had in mind. Down to the wheels and trucks too. Or I really want the Silas Habitat Cork-Top board.

I looked at that Silas one (with the lynx) at the shop and it was just so tiny and looked like a toy that I couldn't handle it. I kinda liked the shape, but size seemed funny.

My problem is that I have a pair of 129 indys that I have on my current cruiser, and if I was to buy a new cruiser board I'd like it to fit the trucks, cause I find it hard to justify spending over 100 euros on it.

But what I'd really want is a big fat cruiser, like at least 8,5" like the Girl Carroll powerslide one. Maybe I'll just have to get the truck and wheels with different paychecks so it don't seem like as much.

Here's a deck I recycled by cutting it out of a deck that a kid had left at the shop.

Recommendations for big soft wheels? I plan on setting a Zip Zinger up this coming spring, might even buy some real Swiss bearings too. I wanna race, go fast and potentially kill myself on one of these rigs.
