Just set this up and taking it out tonight...so stoked. I haven't been this stoked about going skating since I set my Grigley up back in...'89? '90? Yeah, I'm getting old. Bummed to see all the bad reviews of these Zip Zinger 65mm's, but I'm going to give 'em a shot. Love the way they make this board look like a Tonka truck. Indy 149's on this thing too. Thanks to this thread, too, for waking me up to the idea of setting up a cruiser...lost most my tricks some time ago but have still been chasing that dragon and hurting myself along the way. Time to kick back and just ride.

That's a beast! Looks like fun. 65s, oof going to be fun doing ollies with those. Hope you have fun this weekend with that road weapon.

^The Girl Powerslide series is pretty sick. I've been riding around on almost the same setup...

^That's an interesting shape.

I can't seem to track down a Zip Zinger Nano anywhere besides for those pink ones. Nanos come pre-gripped too right?

I think that board is in the same shape as one of his original Blockhead models.

That yank n stank shape looks really fun.

Here's my setup to a friday night. I intended to take a few hints from the pages of this thread in regards to the grip job, but after about an hour I started to lose patience.

I'll have to wait at least a week to get new trucks for it and then I'll take some 57mm Spitfire 80's from my current fucked up cruiser setup.

I saw that board just a few days ago, really tempted to buy it. I just don't have the (money to buy an) extra pair of trucks and wheels, so I didn't take it.

Here's a deck I recycled by cutting it out of a deck that a kid had left at the shop.

The wheels are 56 bones spf. The trucks are a knock offs of an Indy 101 (about 5.5"). The board is a little less than 6.5" at the widest part and the tail is only 3" long. I have no idea how you would do a tailslide or blunt on it.

I picked up the Mike Carroll Powerslide for my friend. It has the ol' Natas devil on it. It doesn't have that weird a shape, but my buddy will rip the shit out of this thing. I'm gonna get him drunk, then present it to him.

Has anyone skated the krooked kutter wheels? I set them up only a few months ago and one of them is already torn to shit, chunks missing and everything, but it's only one of them. The rest of them are fine. I don't know if it's normal or if it's a bad wheel and I should send dlx an email or something.

Do you know what hardness (durometer) they are?  I have some cali-orange Satori cruiser wheels that are like 80a ...anyhow,they are so soft that some rough patches here and there can tear 'em up pretty easily when they are that soft.

same shit happened with my zip zinger wheels... but it happened on the two on my back truck. i never thought to contact dlx, but it's probably too late now.

Yeah, I can imagine that could happen but it's just a little weird because just this one is getting torn up.

well if you get one chunk taken out, that chunk is gonna grab onto rocks and stuff and soon the wheel will get torn up. same thing has happened to me.

That looks like fun!

The bones bushings in new trucks made it instant fun, I rode it to work and dicked around with it afterwards a little. The steep kicks and big wheels make it kind of an effort to pop an ollie with it at first but I'm getting used to it and it's fast as fuck.

After much soul searching, I finally took the dive and decided on a Nano.

 :-\ Pink...since that's the only color available.

Also have some soft bushings and 80Ds coming my way.

I've been using the same wheels since December and haven't had any chunks fall out at all. I'm leaning towards defective - shoot Deluxe an email.
