by the looks of things in the bottom right photo, you're going to get really bad wheelbite when you turn.

I found a broken board with some trucks on the bike path once day, so now I just need some griptape to complete my Grosso cruiser.

I've got that same board and while it's a fucking lovely shape, it feels much better with 169's

I have a Mike Carrol guest Zip Zinger with some old plastic base Gullwings and some Big, Soft, Bones on it. It was ideal for the beer store, but I no longer drink and I live on a dirt road. Bummer.

For cruiser wheels, y'all should look into getting a set made with love and care (and way less likely to look like that chunked up krooked wheel).

Something like this:
(They can be found here: http://www.earthwingskateboards.com/products/hardware/superballs/wildchild.html, his boards are also make good skate/cruisers)

Just picked this up from the shop a couple days ago. The OJ wheels set it off. It's the new love of my life.

I rode my friends Janoski cruiser, the one with the cork top. Felt kinda weird, but it was fun.

Just set up this cruiser a few days ago...

Steve Olson deck
Indys
Some old Santa Cruz OJs
Bones Swiss
Bones med bushings

Feels pretty good so far.
The sharpness of the nose still freaks me out a little.
I feel like if I try skating this like a regular setup, I might end up harpooning my testicles or something...

i hear that, my self-cut cruiser has a very similar shape (see above) and everytime i go through streets with a lot of people, i wonder what would happen if i slam, the board shoots off and hits someone in the shin.

It was my 32nd birthday a couple of weeks back so instead of retiring like Heath, I set up my first cruiser. May change some stuff over time but have found so much new stuff over town old and new spots, scaring a lot of people who just don't get to see skating in their neighbourhoods.

I do the same thing with my dog. Its awesome because it tires her out and helps rehab my leg. It's the only skating I can really do now.

Those Girl cruiser decks look sick! Wanted to pick up the Koston one but would probably have to pick up some Indy 169s or something since I doubt my Thunder 147s would work with a 9-10" wide deck.  Not down with the 'magic carpet' feeling.

did the same shit with my dog today on the way to get a bacon egg and cheese.
I actually did hit another skater in the face with my shoe once at a demo doing a shoes fly off kickflip but he was cool with it.

this thread is worse then anything the industry tried to do with me. but I'll wait until I get 30, then it's legit to have a cruiser .. only 1,5 years though, haha.

anyway, you all have really beautiful boards. can't even remember when I had a new pair of trucks or wheels for my regular board the last time ... must have been in 2008 or something.

58! I used to be scared to run a cruiser setup that was too different from my regular board because I didn't want to fuck with my brain too much. Fuck that, though! The variety is what makes a cruiser fun. BIG WHEELS.

Son, there was a time when 58's were commonly run on street set-ups.
i saw my grandma bail off a 4 set once in my house and she even got up and came to red lobster after.
