I'm looking to get something similar in shape and size to a zip zinger.  Anyone got any suggestions?  Also, what size trucks fit these things?  129s?

How about a Zip Zinger?
Yes, I know.  I'm leaning towards one, I was just asking for any other suggestions.

Also, if I go for the zip zinger, should I go for the zip zinger wheels or spitfires?

depends on the city you live in, i would say. in my city, many streets are really fucked up, so i went for the largest zip zinger wheels (62?), and i never regretted it. even though next time i think i wouldnt go larger than 58mm, shit gets heavy.

55mm spitfires have been great for mine, I use it like normal skateboards though, so i guess it depend what you want to do with it.

plus, it's about 6 inches wide, so it's pretty much guaranteed to break the first time you don't land bolts. i'm almost afraid to firecracker a curb with mine....

that said, it's fun as hell to cruise through crowds downtown on. people JUMP out of the way.

I decided to go with this new HUF cruiser

it's an 8.6 with indy 149s, spitfire 58mm 80d, and bones swiss

It's a good shape but the little wheel divots are new to me and also don't line up too well with the wheels

Spitfires 92a or maybe something softer.  Got the Zip Zingers to match the deck and they suuuuucked.  Even in the skatepark w/ Swiss bearings I wasn't going fast at all.  Maybe I got a bad set?

Got some Satori cruisers and going way faster now.

That Huf just looks like a big deck, not really a cruiser, but I like it!

wheel wells are sick. Let us know if you break it where the wells are.

it was to keep you from hanging up on the lip of pools and shit i believe actually. and I'm pretty sure that THOSE were called copers, where as what you have left on your board there are rails.

Copers were those things you'd put on your trucks hanger that looked like pvc coping.  The slant things were called lappers.  And yes they were so you wouldn't hang up.

Cut this from some ugly ass fish-deck that I found in a mall. Really found, it was behind a dumpster and was in great condition!
Just have to put a new griptape.

Trucks are some old-ass random trucks, wheels zip zinger.
Hope I can go out and try it asap, too much snow now.

Just picked this cruiser up today. My parents got it for me for my birthday. Super stoked because I'm a huge Natas and Pendleton fan, so the both of them together is awesome. I flipped it since everyone has been annoyed about that lately. It's weird having to tighten the trucks so much. They feel super loose. I think it's because the board is so wide.

Foundation tea time cruiser. I'm using the trucks and wheels from my regular set-up for a few days. I can't wait to throw some big soft wheels on this thing. Gave it my best attempt at a Randozziish grip job.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but never had the nerve to do it to a regular set up. It doesn't seem to bother me at all on the crusier, so I may try something different with my next regular set up. Next time I'll try and remember to take the warning stickers off first. ? ;D

Btw... anybody have any suggestions for wheels. I want something softer, but I still want to keep the wheels around 54mm or so. I was thinking about those satori p-town players.

bones yellows, or blues. if you don't want to buy new bushings though you could try cutting the ones you have smaller with an exacto knife, then they'll get crazy loose.
