I've got a bunch, here are some of the more memorable ones

Met Berra at my friends mini back home in probably '98 or '99. He was in town for Christmas or something and showed up with Clark from The Faint and some other bro. He was really nice, I remember ripping an ad out of a magazine for him to sign and he started laughing and signed my shirt instead.

Smoked a bowl with TnT, in my mom's car, outside that same shop. The Anti Hero guys were rolling through town and a guy they had with them knew the shop owner. He was kinda quiet but overall a nice guy. After we got high we all went to the park and Tony did everything first try then ran around with his dog.

Met Kanten Russell, Smolik, Dobstaff, and Josh Kasper at an Osiris demo. Jerry hsu was there but he was getting mobbed by kids. Kanten is super nice, Smolik was drunk, Dobstaff wanted to buy weed, and Josh Kasper watched skate videos with kids.

Skated with Nesser a handful of times at lake Owen. He's always in a good mood it seems.

Ran into Mark Appleyard at the Zumiez 100k thing a couple years back. We were both outside this bar smoking and this drunk bitch slipped on the ice. Mark asked if she was okay and she snapped "Im fine! Are you okay?!" He just laughed and went inside. I saw him again the next day snowboarding. Appleyard is a really fucking good snowboarder too.

Bummed Matt Beach a cigarette at a Nike demo last fall. He was super nice and very polite. We talked about Portland and snowboarding, then he got upset because his Slayer shirt got ripped.

was clark ripping? he and todd used to be super good back in the day.

Last time I checked strippers in Australia don't accept coins.

Yeah dude, Clark was killing it. He was doing these body jar/crail things over the spine and we were all tripping out. He used to get stuff from Consolidated back in the day, right?

met marty murasawski at a demo, nicest dude ever. just really humble and seemed genuinely interested in what i was saying.
skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit

i met mike anderson back in july and had a friend take a photo of me with him. We had a scooter kid do a flyout to make the photo more interesting, but he kept landing on mike's foot.

back in november of last year, me and a few friends were in philly for the day and were skating at girard for a bit.  we were making our way over to where the rail is and saw eli reed attempting that switch lip he did down the hubba.  was on the april issue of the skateboard mag i believe.  after a few minutes he nailed it, and shit, i was psyched.  talked to him for a bit afterward and he seemed like a nice guy, could tell he was super stoked on the trick too.

I used to see Silas pretty regularly in Chicago but I haven't seen him in about a year now. He would do long as fuck stand-up grinds on pool coping and it seemed like he could basically just ride on cement coping like you and I might just ride on flatground...pretty wild. He also is very agile, much more agile than you'd think - I've seen him get out of some hairy situations on his tippy-toes and roll out of some pretty bad slams that would take most of us out. It's weird because I actually got the most "professional athlete" vibe from Silas (I mean that in the sense that you can just tell how talented he is at using his body) even though he's very laid back, drinks beers at the park, brings his dog, etc.
seen plenty of rippers, but this hits the nail on the head. seeing silas skate in person it's almost unbelievable.

sometime around 1995 Ethan Fowler sold me a pair of vans that were a size too small. Since it was Still jazzy, Stereo Ethan, I was pretty stoked. Skated those vans to death.

theres been a bunch over the years. im sure im going to forget some.

first one was the craziest. we were like 14 and taking the bus to downtown LA every weekend and one saturday the whole girl/chocolate team of 98 rolls through. huf was ollieing the gap between the white manual pads across the street from the library gap. it ended up in the opening montage for a transworld video. i remember york and chico being incredibly nice to us. we tagged along for an hour or so. went back to their cars and they were passing out whatever they had to us. my friend who was like 5' tall and 13yo got some size 12 nikes. i got a dynasty mixtape!! i wish i knew what happened to that.

my best homie and i went to marseille and stayed in the city for like 3 weeks. after a few days nesser and barley started coming to the park everyday. we ended up being friends towards the end cause we were the only ones who spoke english and were chilling at the park always. nesser was awesome. barley had a tendency to fly into his life story out of nowhere, but overall a cool guy.

we went to the premiere for 'tent city' at skatelab. ended up not watching a second of the video and drinking budweisers with sam hitz in the parking lot all night. after awhile gerwer came up and hung out. he went to grab him and sam another beer, i asked for one but he just ignored me. hitz was super friendly and not the way he seems from videos. cool dude.

saw ellington in the elevator at the home depot on sunset. he had a spitfire shirt with his name across the back. it was just us in the elevator, but i couldnt get the nerve to talk to him.

a good friend of mine has mutual friends with guy mariano. he set me up with some work at guys house. i was shitting knocking on his door. i told him what was up with the work and he was cool as fuck about it. he set me up with a complete the first day. best experience.

saw carroll at the deli spot by my house.

got wasted with danny minnick a few times. went street skating in hollywood at 3am. def not as big of a scumbag as his rep.

skated a bunch with jesus fernandez and julio de la cruz back in the 'neighborhood' days. both really nice. back when everyone smoked weed all day.

ran into nuge and slash at the LA weekly detour festival. days after the fallen vid came out. told him it was sick and they invited us to come drink with them. great dudes.

David Gonzales is the moodiest fuck i've ever met, at a demo he just sat there with a mean look. I got his signature but it was so awkward.

Bledsoe was so nice, i chilled with him for about half an hour at another demo because he hurt his foot. Everyone crowded around Sheckler and Malto so i was like the only person speaking to him.

Clint Peterson, Steve Nesser and Seth Mccallum did a demo at my old local park and we met up with them at some party afterwords and going to some rich girl who skated place. She was very hot and everyone wanted a piece, and I think Clint buried his flag.

In like 03 or 04 Dna dist did I think it was called "the trisec tour" or something like that. We ended up taking Kalis, Flo, Alex Carilino and greg myers around detroit to show them spots. On the same tour, brian wenning ate out some infamous skate slut. poor guy. He probably ate some local heroes babies.

City did "crime in the motor city" back in 06 and they came and partied and skated our ramp for the night. Tony Vitello and Jeremy reeves threw their beers on some girl after she punched me in the face. It was a good night.

I seen chris pastras lurking around hollywood one time, he was probably looking for jason lee.
damn wenning is gnar. some people just love eating pussy

Saw Terry Kennedy this week at Stoner Plaza.  Dude is so nice and humble.

I also saw Heath there.  He is either super shy or really stuck up because he didn't say one word the entire time.

this was around 99 or 2000. alot of the dudes in my first crew quit skating, so i started rolling around with some dudes from echo park. they were down to skate all day and trip all over the city. im pretty sure they knew those guys already, but we would either meet up with them or run into them. logan, the blocks at usc, LA high, downtown, lockwood. we would see them everywhere. jesus was really quiet. i dont remember him knowing much english. julio was blowing minds daily. crazy underflips, casper flips to five 0s. tech was heavy back then and he was better than anybody at it. other than that, they were just normal dudes. trading boards for weed they would smoke with us anyway.
oh yea, marco romero was around during this time too.
fuck, this thread is bringing back memories.

I ran into these guys in Australia.  It was the week of that Bondi Bowl contest so there were so many skateboarders in Sydney that week.

We were all super drunk and they were really rad.  Omar grabbed my board about two minutes after this and skated off down the street with it.  TnT asked why I didn't have Spitfires and I told him that Spitfires were shit cause I kept flatspotting them.  It was pretty funny.

I skated Buena vista with Guzman, Al Partanen, Navs, and Alex Horn.
I didnt even know who Alex Horn was and then I got home and was watching some creature video and realized who he was.
Yesterday I was driving in Aptos and saw adrian mallory.

Met the Alien team at a signing a while back. I was talking to Mikey Taylor but didn't really know what to talk to him about and my mind was at a blank, so I brought up the first thing that came to my mind, which was "so, how does it feel to have gotten blacked out by Benny for the Berrics battle?" He just smiled and said something along the lines of "the floor there is waaaay slipperier than you think".
Dill was there hanging out with Kenny Anderson (don't know why Anderson was there, guess he was just tagging along) and Dill came up to me and asked me to take a picture of him with Kenny. (the picture in my sig.) He said "Do you know who this man is? It's Kenny fuckin Anderson. Here, quick, take a picture of me and him with your camera." I didn't question the man, I took the picture.
I was standing in the shop bullshitting around with a friend and I had just gotten done making some stupid joke, I turn around and I see Bledsoe laughing; He was standing pretty close to us the whole time and I guess he had overheard the joke I made and found it funny. I was pretty stoked.

I'll see Sammy Baca cruising around town quite often now. Before this I had only met him once at some random party that Matt Ball threw (I made a post about the same party earlier on in this thread, it's on the first page in case anyone is curious to read it). Never really had a full on conversation with the dude, but I'll shake his hand and say whats up to him every now and then whenever I see him. He asked me if I had any wax on me once but I didn't.

Met the Altamont team at a signing a while back. Herman was really drunk.

Met Braydon at my local shop once. Seemed like a really cool dude. He was telling everyone at the shop to vote for him as best rookie for the Transworld awards.
