so this disheveled concrete is gonna be the deck of a ramp. we dug out a lot of dirt to find the shape of the concrete and we found/ate wild carrots. pretty neat! they're white and have a little more spice like radish, less sweet taste.

new flatbar!!
i've had this fence/handicap rail in mind for 2 yrs and finally got the crew and tools to cut of the ends, sink it into this grass gap we dug out and cement it in place.
if you know where it's at, stay of til tuesday, let 'er dry and the curvy curb too [we re-cemented it].

thanks bawtawd.
silky, that dirt will go back in the hole when the cement dries. the flatbar is 8 plus feet in a 6 foot grass gap. the ends are on concrete. it's a thick slab so we just built it how we can but yeah, gonna leave the grass, whole car or no car.

is anyone else building?
we did some diddling to the L ledge, left enough of a corner to still necessitate pop outs but scrapped enough to recycle into an off the curb/down some grass hubba. will it work? idk.
has anyone else built a downhill ass ledge?
any tips?
i'm guessing this will be big fun until the angle iron pops out and we have to re-attach it.
we built a small 'learning ledge' w. the other angle iron.
spot keeps improving, great guys!

I've turned my backyard into a free and public diy spot.  Looking at doing more of a Lost Bowl layout over the next few years.

Some tips right out the gate would be to stomp some gravel into the ground, and then use some rebar, broken golf clubs, or whatever and hammer them into the dirt in the cinder block holes and crete em up.  After that you could drill some countersinks into the angle iron and bolt that fucker into the side, in addition to the liquid nails.

We built a solid granite ledge on this new plaza the city just did. There's a yard not far where they had these big pieces of granite scraps from the plaza, so we just had to carry these things glue and seal everything. It was heavy as fuck though. 13.5inch low and 6.5 feet long. It grinds like a dream after 5 minutes of skating...
It does look like legit bench enough i hope for the city not to tear it down.

That ledge is fucking beautiful. I hope it lasts.

The city postponed our "late July" demolition date and gave us some more life so we popped the top off this bench and made this.....

If you're within a car ride from Detroit, head out for Go Skate Day, we are having a Real demo as part of the "Actions REALized" tour.

Here is our local DIY. It´s in a medium sized city in Germany. We´ve been at it for about 5 or 6 years now. Love this place.

Palm Beach has a decent D.I.Y. builders, just extremely fastidious when including others in their projects. If I had a truck I'd help out.

sharkside gang is finally working in granite.
this is a tribute to Auburn, obviously.
nate keegan stole a block of granite from a worcester ledge and drove it to the suburbs decade ago. it was a daring piece of theivery but a karmically shitty thing to do, rob the city to feed the suburbs? and rob a street spot to feed a park?
but that's exactly what he did and the granite ledge had been a mainstay of that derelict park for a long time til it broke in 2 and one end is on blocks like our DIY version and another on the ground that i landed my first noseblunts on.
TL, DR me and hash slasher built a new ledge at our spot, granite manny pad in progress
