The new GS1250 is so rad.  You can get some killer deals ($5k+ off) on 2017 GS' right now

^^°i was gonna say these bikes are like 23k. I'd like to get a older 100gs cuz I can afford it but. At least more affordable.

But that varible speed cam is weet. First time I saw one. But love an air head, opposed cylinder heads.

This is the bike I got given last weekend. 93 RF400R

Needs a new battery and shaken (車検) then it is good to go.

I "race" speced my old RMX over the summer and have to re-jet the ol' girl tonight... (Hurt my back and couldn't skate for 6 weeks... so I did some bike stuff to keep my mind of it)... she still needs a bit more work (plastics, tank, fork rebuild, spokes and an RM swing arm.) then she will be complete and I can start on my little dudes QR and my SR mods

I will take a pic tonight, seems as I am going to be stuck in the shed fiddling with carb settings

I put the board on a shoe lace and it was passable. Also works in my backpack. I have a rear fender rack in the mail so more storage coming soon.

One more question:

I don't have a motorcycle jacket, so far I've just been wearing a thinker canvas jacket with a hoodie, which I know is not at all ideal. Now, this sounds petty, but I really hate the styling of most motorcycle jackets. It seems you're either stuck with macho leather daddy or hi-tech dweeb. That said, I know i need protection. Does anyone have recommendations for plain looking jackets (i usually just wear a carhartt) with decent protection and pockets for armor?

Having a tough time researching this online.

There were a couple of simple Troy Lee Designs jackets that had sorta what you were looking for. Sorry no link but Im sure its searchable

https://www.rolandsands.com/category/242/motorcycle-jackets/textile-motorcycle-jackets ???

Yeah those are pretty nice. I ended up going with an armored mesh shirt thing from knox. It has CE-rated shoulders, elbow, and back protection and fits under all of my normal jackets. I also got some klim pants with knee and hip protection that look like Carhartt doublefronts.

Off road i just wear mx jersey and pants with a roost protector and skate knee pads haha. Need to get some knee braces that go into my mx boots eventually.

Here's a pic i took while i was exploring some trails last weekend.

My back is pretty much better now, so I will probaably just end up riding my skeeterboard instead of riding in the dirt

My boss offered to "gift" me a chopped honda cb650, complete, running with a title. I'm sort of on the fence about it,but it'd probably fun to ride other than the obvious fact that it'd be free. Pics soon either way!

When you say "gift" in quotation marks, it makes me think of this sketch:

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Thats hilarious, and wouldn't make it any better by me saying I'd trade work as payment since my boss would be paying for it. Hence the gift in quotations. Haha fuck. Blowjobs

So what I got is a 75% done bike. Honda xr650L turned chopper of sorts...

That gas tank is already off,I'm going to make my own tank (something like a mustang tank), and basically I have to fab a subframe and wire it then it's ready to go. Stoked because I can make it mine, and I like polishing turds haha. I'll post progress as it happens!

Also, I have a box of extra shit. So if any of you guys need a desert tank, fork legs, mikuni carb, supertrapp or other exhaust mufflers PM me.

Wow that has to be the craziest XR build i have ever seen!

Any dirt bike folks in here? After learning on the 230 this summer I am looking to upgrade, and I've started thinkin i want a 2 stroke woods bike. KTM 150 xc-w and Husky te150 got me drooling but not sure i wanna spend the $. Are these good bikes for someone knew to 2t who's mainly interested in woods riding?

I'll prob keep the 230 around too as a buddy bike and b/c it is street registered.

XR650 is way sicker of a bike than a CB650....the only really good CB's with SOHC 350/360/550/750, the DOHC 750's and 900's were good race bikes. the cb650 and cb400/450 weren't made for all that long because they weren't all that good. my dad has a stock '03 xr650 and it's fun as fuck. this thing looks insane, curious to see what you'll do with it man!

Nice bikes straight edge.

I posted in here when I got my CRF230, which is street legal. Since getting that I got the dirt bug BAD and ended up getting a KTM 200xc-w which has been amazing. Light as fuck and a total woods weapon. Still love the 230 for a mellow dual sport right or commuting, but goddamn there's something about a two stroke.

Apologies for resurrecting the dead but do you by chance recall who makes that seat you’ve got on that shovel?  Looking for a slimmer two up seat for a 79 iron head and that thing looks good.

thanks man. and yessir although it’s just a late model headlight bucket because i am having trouble finding a k model one let alone not paying an arm and a leg for it. the front wheel is actually a honda CB something from the 60s. it has two leading shoes rather than just the one so should actually work half way decent. took a little bit of work to make it fit but for what ever reason on those bikes they made them 40 hole so that part was easy

Yea the 40 hole thing is strange, but I think it works well if you want to dish the wheel. I feel you on finding affordable parts, spent a long time finding a good Aris triangle headlamp for a chopper I had and ended up with a repop...now the repop gets sold for a high ass price! Haha

That's fucking sick. A 400 two-stroker at full blast must sound like the world ending.
