my room mate makes some pretty impresive stuff, sampling and what not, pretty cool.

yah well to a guy who doesn't know much it sounded pretty cool, I'm sure most of the shit he does is pretty basic, I will see about posting it, it sounds pretty studio quality to me.

It's the art of sampling and taking something else and hopefully making something brand new with it, and/or making amazing grooves accesible to people to hear and rappers to spit over, in my case.

I made a beat using an sp-1200 and a pair of Numarks with the reverse option....I sampled a section of Hall and Oates-"I cant go for that" and played it backwards with a slowed down pitch and then morphed the drums through the sp-12.....and looped it.....it's pretty decent...I liked how it turned out.
