I was just wondering if any of the mags out there have had a best selling issue and what was it.Or if they ever had a worst selling issue ever.

that transworld issue, a photo or interview one... it had all faces on it.... like 50 faces... i remeber reading it was their worst seller ever. Then SBC did the same thing 10 years later.... not sure how it worked for them tho.

I don't know about best selling...but the most memorable issue for me has to be the issue of Transworld with Rowley on the cover 360 flipping the Oceanside 13(?).

That last skateboarder with the beauty and the beast 2 article was sick and I remember it sold out really fast where I live.

I know myself, and a lot of my friends bought all of the Transworld Anniversary special issues a few years ago with the four different cover options. I wish I could remember the pinnacle moment for it but I'm drawing a blank on that right now. I can't even remember who the four cover skaters were either. I think Tony Hawk and the Gonz were two of em? With four covers that must have been a good seller. Same with the Muska Transworld Interview issue. I had the subscription at the time so I got that portrait one, but like all Muska fiends, I bought the ollie through the tree cover too.

Steve Cab and Jamie Thomas were the other two covers, it was January 2003. I think that the best selling TWS issue was the one where he had the boombox over his head, he being Muska.

I can see those issues being the top selling issues of all time. I still have the gonz cover sitting on my copy table. that magazine is as thick as a book. there was also a 'mid night hour' article on dying to live, tons of retrospective stuff in that issue with timeless shots of lance, cab, natas, gonz, pretty much every important dude/tws cover in skateboarding up until 2003.

I just emailed Thrasher and TSM asking what their best selling issues were.  I couldn't find the appropriate address for Transworld, and I didnt email the other mags.

I feel like big brother did shit like this a few times, where not only did people not buy it, but they also wrote all sorts of letters complaining. Can't think of an example right now though.
That was awesome that one time they sent out porno instead, they've always claimed that was an awful mistake, but I like to think it wasn't.

Well, Thrasher has not emailed me back yet

but according to the email I got from The Skateboard Mag, their best selling issue was september 2005. Andrew Reynolds is on the cover frontside flipping over a rail and stair set. Features include Milestone with Josh Kalis, Are Contests Biased, and the Wizard of AZ.

I tried to google the cover, but I couldn't find it.

He was wearing a black shirt, grey pants and a camo fitted hat.

I bet some people picked up the TWS when Danny Way dropped in out of a flying machine. Sturt shot it, right?
i saw my grandma bail off a 4 set once in my house and she even got up and came to red lobster after.
