an insider prospective on the skate industry
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:45:57 PM »
whats up guys. i know i havent been here in a long time and i know that a lot of you probably had questions in the past that i didnt have time to get around to and for that im extremely sorry. i dont have a lot of time with all the new projects and other things i have going on in my life right now so sorry. anyway, i wanted to come here to clear up a few misconceptions that i know a lot of you have about the skate industry. i remember a while back seeing the posts of guys like jamie thomas and henry sanchez and there "exposes" on the skate industry. i want to say that that is not the way shit is. back in my time -- im sure youve all seen my part in the la county vid -- the shit i encountered in skateboarding made me absolutely sick. i was recently talking to a friend about the videos of 2009 and which were best -- it has been a sorry year for videos. anyway, i brought up the aworkshop vid and also the flip vid, which were both terrible. my friend brought up slave and zero. i explained to him that slave and zero are not actually skate companies at all. these are mall apparel companies, just like hollister or abercrombie, and they arent apart of the world of skating and havent been for a long time. even though they make hard goods, so do companies like wal mart. are they skate companies also? no. anyway, i just wanted to throw that out there.

if anyone has any questions or comments, or wants to ask me about what ive got going on now, or anything about the la county video, or anything else, please just drop me a line on here and ill try to respond as much as i can. peace!  -chris franzen, skater in la county video

hey man whats up. first i want to say fuck all haters and naysayers. if you really want to come out here to california to see the industry for what it really is be my guest. next, i want to say that over the span of my career i have done tricks over what a lot of people would consider to be tall stuff -- the trick is basically just to suck your knees up to your chest, and kind of jump forward like you would if you were playing basketball. thanks a lot for the kind words man and keep skating - chris

No offense, but you sound like an outsider to me.

Just checked out some of your videos though and you can definitely skate.

Also,

My favorite shoe about 8-9 years ago was the Mariano Axions.

I believe you would also agree that shoe was amazing.  Outside of that shoe during that time frame of my skating, my favorite would've been the first Chany shoe from converse.  That shit was indestructible.  Plus, it had ankle bone pads.  That was good for me because my flip tricks have always sucked.

Some people might think I'm being sarcastic, but fuck you!!!!

I also proudly skated these, but I rolled my ankle in them

Try this one: Stick a pickle in a sock or condom. Then titty fuck yourself while you put a bottle of wine in your pussy and fuck that. It's like getting off twice at the same exact time! Or try eating yourself. I'm flexible enough to do this, and nothing tastes better than your own pussy juice! I've also fucked a cordless phone, shampoo bottles in the bathtub, soup cans, pop bottles, and the mouse to my computer.

I masturbate two to four times a day, usually with my fingers, but sometimes I grab a cold carrot and slide it in my ass. I've even rubbed my sister's teddy bear all over my pussy without telling her. It's okay, she does the same with my pillows.

Last time I went to California, I saw the industry, shook its hand, then tried to leave. It tried to rape me.

The industry later bought me flowers and a chocolate cake. I accepted.

so some guy who i've never heard of had a part in a video i've never seen, but he's the authority on the skate industry, not the extremely successful company owner, or the living legend skateboarder.

We'll have to wait for Transworld Biz's next "Exposure Meter" and see if this thread creates a blip for him.
