The movie was pretty good, but was boring in some parts and definitely not a work of genius.

The plot is nothing new. The special effects are alright, but not a major leap from what we've seen. The only really cool thing about the movie is the planet itself; which has some interesting beasts and territories. Felt about 20minutes too long. People are hyping this movie like crazy but its not even that sick.

I had to watch it in 3d, which actually made the movie even less enjoyable.

Saw it. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm stoked for sequels because one of them is for sure going to be pretty fucking dark. That's just how trilogies work. And I can't wait to see that one.

this movie feels like it was made by a mystical wizard, who resides on a floating volcano

I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

I saw it in 3D. The alien landscapes were pretty trippy. The only good 3D was when the seeds or ash would be floating around. The movie did seem really long. It was cool. I'm glad I saw it in the theater.

The story was boring and wayyy too long, it just didnt want to end. At first I admit it caught my attention, but I lost interest and fast. The 3D shit was just a gimmick / cover up for a shitty story.

I feel for people who didn't watch it in 3D and had to suffer through the Celine Dion song at the end.

Fucking LOVED it!!  I didn't expect much story-wise (it's James Cameron, when has he ever done a deep plot) so I wasn't dissapointed.  the 3D was awesome.  With other 3D movies I've seen in the past they've gotten the depth all fucked up;  you would see the stuff that was up close and the stuff that was farther away but it would look strangely flat like a layered cellophane picture (think: 1970s anatomy books).  It looks like they too their time with this and got the perspective right.  Total fucking eye-candy!  I don't ever want to watch it again so I won't notice the flaws.

That was Leona Lewis. A British singer.

a) Why do you know that
b) That song could pass for that Titanic song any day of the week.

I don't care if a mulato brit sang that while riding a horse and microphone.

It will always be Celine Dion.

its like the fully flared thing. people hype it so much and because of that some people dont give it the response it deserves, avatar is a fanastic movie and was one of the best cinematic experiences i have ever had, the 3d was awsome and certainly a good movie to please all demographics

gutterhead.
