Jody Smith (UK)
Baptiste Myzor (France)

Habitat International Team:

Mike McDermott (Canada)
Gunez Ozdogan(Sweden)

“After years of planning, we have created a team that represents our brands in their truest form outside of the United States,” explained Tony Heitz, Sect Team Manager. “We look forward to growing the project over the next few years and will hand pick riders on our international flow teams to build onto this existing team.”

International products will be available for Holiday, 2006. Ruben Garcia (Alien Workshop) and Petr Horvat (Habitat) will be the first riders to receive International pro boards. Work on the first ever International Alien Workshop and Habitat video will begin next year.

calling bullshit.. then what about Zeros internatioanl squad.. Plan B's

not to mention every shoe co has internatioanl teams.. I would bet before the end of 06 90% of skateboarding's major companies have full blown international squads...

Plus since Seek was similar shouldn't Element be a Seek ripoff.. or a flip rip off

Holy shit, you're going to get lynched for posting that.
(original poster that mentioned the element thing)
I'm into the International team idea and stoked that McDermott is offically involved with Habitat.
I went to the link and peeped the new AWS decks and those were pretty ugly.
Not all of them, just the hippy looking ones that didn't look like workshop at all.
Please let the video come out soon, please let them get rid of Pudwill and let AVE continue to rip. Amen.

mcdermott is sick, glad to see him getting on a great company like Habitat. Village Green was ok, but hopefully he'll be able to travel more and get paid.

Santa Cruz did this too. Oli Buergin has/had a model for example.

I'm kinda feeling this but kinda don't.
I feel like Europe could have it's own brands and stronger industry.
But then again, I don't mind if it goes like this if these riders are taken good care of.
And they hooked up some really good skaters.

He's on flow direct.  Not really interested in chasing skating as a career.  Shame really as he's one of the UK's underrated greats.

Europe already has its own brands and from what it seems a good industry, look at Cliche' and Blueprint they must being doing something right.

the american companies have fear to lose the market here completely ... look at cliche or blueprint you can't call that euro thrash anymore - it's getting a big competition

I mentioned this WAY BACK - basically Lakai is the only company out there that's trying to keep "something" in Europe, doing the "Fench Connection" and "Royal Family" shoes it a really good way to stay in about the best company's that Europe has going, Cliche is actually taking board sales from American companies in Europe and Blueprint is doing the same in the UK (i'm not totally sure what there European wide sales are like, but they mostly sell UK wide and Scandinavia)

Anyway i think Girl's brands realised that they were losing board sales so had to do
something

SO this leads to Euro-Element/Workshop/Habitat/Santa Cruz, etc. . .

I mean Spitfire did Howard Cooke and Colin Kennedy wheels - Colin even had a Thunder colour way and they are both very heavily UK riders

You can't really bitch at Element though as they have been doing this for years, they have an Oz team aswell, not sure about any other Yank companies doing that, but Element or Underworld Element and New Deal had pro's from the UK a LONG time ago - Steve Douglas and Curtis McCann to name the pro's then there was a few sponsered skaters.

But basically America companies are startign to realise if you snoz you lose. . .

...can't believe this thread brought Donnie Murdo out of the woodwork!

Are cliché and blueprint products easy to get in the Us ?
anyways, I've almost never seen any blueprint products in France.

Ahh, yeah if you look at the http://www.clicheskate.com you'll see the distribution list for the US or look in the help section and it's posted there as well

Blueprint is pretty much a UK company, i know Wall St in Lyon sell a bit of Blueprint stuff and some shops in Barca did as well (due to Shire) but other than that Blueprint hasn't really done much for sales in the European market as far as i'm aware - there's basically to many company's in Europe, Scandinavia and Russia i think they sell more there to be honest, i dont' think Dan really wanting a "Euro Team" he's more into controling the UK hahahaha

Mike McDermott is pretty good, but travis stenger is better..mikes part in the modern love video was alright but  i dont think he should have had that ender though.. im sure he can get better stuff than that.. Canada skaters are so much better than U.S skaters though.. they have so much pop and steez it aint even funny but its a good for Aws to get him on
