Is anybody willing to PM me a black box park code? I used to have one but I sold the game and now I got it again. Thanks.

I don't think "realistic" has to mean "simple". I think it just means keeping in mind what can actually be done on a skateboard. And also keeping in mind where the filmer would be skating and what would be possible for them.

The biggest thing I see that makes it seem "unrealistic" is the look of the skaters. I'm still not sure if it's some kind of weird angle, or just the way some people design their guys, but they look like cartoons, not like actual people. It's hard to describe but all the people who are really good at this game do it for some reason.

And Bullet, your part was amazing.

That's caused by zooming out to 10mm. It gives a super zoomed-out cartoony effect, and especially when filmed really close up, it distorts the image a bit and just looks bad. And I dont think it's people that are good at the game, as much as it's just people who know how to do it.

Ah, so it must be some thing you get with the filmer pack, then? Cause I can't zoom past 25mm.

You can do it by setting a point zoomed in, another point after that's zoomed out, then the last being the freaky zoomed in one. Delete the rest and keep the loony one.

When you're using the Advanced Free Cam or whatever you set one key marker zoomed in to 75mm, then one close to it at 24mm, then let it play forward a bit. The camera keeps zooming out and you can make a new marker at 10mm or 14mm or whatever you think looks alright, and delete the others.

zooming into 10mm is a glitch.  You can also zoom all the way up to 500.   Yeah, I'm not to big on filming with anything under 14, but I know a lot of guys who use 10 and make it look awesome.   For long lens I usually zoom between 170-300

Here's a glitch that explains how to zoom in and out more (it's for skate2, but the same thing applies to skate3):

we've been crying for that since before skate3 was even released.

Did you get the latest dlc?  It's got a chunk of the old map.  Still not enough though

Port Carverton just kinda sucks. Making it three separate areas was never a good idea. But they're done with DLC now right? Hopefully next time around they make it one whole city again, with a lot more inspiration from Old Town and the Res from the first game.

Being able to cruise the entire map in skate 1 was one of the best parts of the game. A few pals and me have been playing skate 1 online recently and I don't even plan on putting skate 3 back in any time soon.

you can cruise the entire sections in skate 3, they are huge. plus once you get to the bottom in skate 1, the time it would take to load your session marker from the top of the suburbs, you could change locations like 3 times in skate 3 so it literally makes no difference.

I know people play the game differently and everything, but there's nothing fun about cruising around in skate 3. Going from the observatory to the carvatron is a pain, maybe 3 fun things to hit along the way without stopping. Same with the industrial area, the whole cruising aspect has a much more gamer/arcade feel to it. Plus in skate 1, once you reached the bottom, you just sesh the parkade, EMB, and hubba forever; there's no need to go back to the top.

Port Carveton sucks sooo much.  It's a shame, because they brought in so many improvements this time around, but it's really all for nothing because the main level is so bad.  And with the exception of the new dlc, all the other ones were terrible as well.   Remember the skate2 classic pack?  Had 3 huge levels with lots to explore by jumping over the fence.  Plus the fantasy factory which wasn't the greatest, but still better then the maloof, after dark, and hawaii levels combined.

I haven't ever heard anything definite, but word on the street is that there isn't gonna be a skate 4.

agreed completely.  they need to just make a realistic city like skate 1 and not worry about making spots so much.

Starting to play this game again.... completely agree with Briden about how I like to play the game. Making simple tricks look good is much more impressive than button mashing baffoonery. That being said, I do dabble with the tech stuff, but try to keep it to a flip in flip out maximum.

zooming into 10mm is a glitch.

Loving the 15 mm, messed around with it a bunch last night.

Here's a line of me and Briden from an online sesh. Not sure why it says difficulty: easy, but that's happened to me before when I saved clips while online in hardcore mode so who knows.

NICE!  yeah, I love filming stuff in 14-15mm.   I like doing long lense up in the 200-300's too.  That glitch is great.  I don't know why in skate 3 they didn't just let you zoom to those on your own.

I gotta get in on some of your guys online sessions sometimes

For sure. I didn't really play for a few months in the summer but I'm getting back into it. I think the same thing happened with me with skate 2. Lately I've been on late night, like 11pm eastern or later.
