Oh Gulo.....if you can you should shoot off a link for your beat you laced for Rawb....let me peep it again and I'll see if I can write something for it. I don't really want to just freestyle it or whatever. I do way to much of that and it gets boring. I'd like to take a little time and drop something a little clever. I write pretty quick though. Let me know what's up!

*edit: Oh shit! Kinda feelin' this Gulo......I hope you don't mind a little criticism but I'd amped if you laced that bassline through out your cut and made it a bit more predominant. Make it about 2 or 2 and 1/2 minutes long maybe. I think it might work out sicker for ya and I might just destroy that shit straight up. Dope.

Aside from the star trek stuff, drums, bass, and that weird "hey, hoo hoo hoo!" sound at the beginning.
It's all sampled from David Axelrod.

I had the whole day off today and since I am too injured to skate
so I had A LOT of free time to put into this.

EDIT: I still haven't figured out the sequencer in Reason 4
which explains the weird drops in drum volume.

Since I'm the one who started this thread and I'm the one giving out
the prizes, it doesn't make much sense for me to be in the competition.
This whole thing has been a great excuse for me to learn my new software.

I'm feeling everybodys stuff so far. I like Blackabinos joint alot. Those drums and the sample work out perfect. Able and Gulo are killin' it too! Stoked to check out what Rawb is comin' up with also. Now, I might have to look for it tomorrow but if Able is going to give out a prize to the winner I might as well too. The winner of this will recieve a signed copy of Percee P's-"Now and Then" cd out of my personal collection. Keep it going!

i used audacity to make the loops and samples from the david axelrod track, and everything else is done in reason 4. kinda bummed my ableton live decided to stop working for some reason.

mine is coming still... i figured you guys would all be having a big bong party talking about the beats. i got to listen to two peoples' over the weeekend. i have logic studio 9 ready to install i am just having a few issues getting the crack to work but i am confident in my hax0r abilities so im hoping to get it running tonight so i can snip some samples FINALLY. i shoudl take a picture of my studio you guys might think its sick.

sorry for flaking out on this i just finally got Logic studio 9 running last night i trimmed a sample but it was 12:00am by the time i got to it and had to be upf or 6:30... im gonna do one no matter what even if i finish it late. i know mine wnt be as good as your guys' ones anyway haha but ill post it up when its done shouold be tomorrow night.
