Electronic music is disrespectful to people who work hard to learn to play instruments. Shit sucks
i'm going to try to make this short (i was going to post something similar in that Skrillex thread, so you're basically catching that thread's heat as well.)
i've been in bands, played instruments, sang, etc. and i've created music electronically (using actual equipment (hardware) and digitally (software.)) to learn how to program midi-equipment, arrange loops/samples, program a beat, organize different tracks, mix, blend, etc. is just as difficult as writing music any other way (if not more difficult.) it truly boggles my mind that there's still people that think real music is only created with physical instruments. almost all music being made today was recorded or made with electronic equipment in some shape or form. the common music fan might be ignorant to this, but it's how music is actually produced.
music has progressed so much the last 50 years mainly due to the advancements of technology. to not embrace that and allow it to help maximize your creativity is foolish. from Pink Floyd to Radiohead to David Bowie, they all owe a whole lot to electronic music.
please educate yourself before you spew bullshit on the internet again.
