I'm giving it a go currently, but the majority of my grinding is on skatepark ledges with round metal coping and on ramps with the same :/ not much chances for street ledges around here

My back truck is at the axle and my front truck is getting there. I hope they snap soon.

why? breaking in new trucks is the worst part of skateboarding.

i'd rather take a hipper or roll my ankle than break in new trucks.

I'm going on my second year with my indy's and I think my back truck is getting real close to the axle from feebles. i kind of want to do it just because I never have. I almost can't even remember what new trucks are like anymore

I'd rather skate new trucks than not skate because of a rolled ankle. And yes, Bones bushings take care of that shit.

Big Brother Magazine once had an article on the number of grinds it takes to get down to the axle of various brands of trucks.  If I remember correctly, the least was 200ish grinds on Grind Kings.  I think they were doing 50/50's on a curb outside their office.  It was reminded me of the Tootsie Roll Pop commercial about "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop."

only 200?

i feel like i do thousands on each set and they don't usually get close to the axel before breaking.

What usually fucks my trucks up is the hardware holes getting worn out super wide somehow.  I swear I don't mall grab either.

I've had the same problem, just check to make sure your hardware is still tight at least once a day. if it gets loose and you dont notice then any sideways torsion is going to fuck the fuck out of your mounting holes. then shit gets all crooked and wobbly

I am loving the shit out of my Indys right now. They're at that perfect stage. Well worn and broken in.

Can't find the camera to show off, but it's nice.

back when we had the parking block slappy jam at the bridge, i took a set of indys down to the axle in about two months. i really liked that thing.

but most of my life, it's taken about a year or so to get there. except for stage 10's, which must be a softer alloy, since now i can't seem to get more than 5 or 6 months out of a set of trucks.

i remember reading about tom knox grinding a set of indys to the axle in ONE DAY.?  i really wish that would've happened now, during the "everything a pro does is filmed" days. that must have been the most epic slappy session ever.

In an interview in Juice magazine #60, Tom said that he thinks he once grinded his back truck to the axle in a day.
http://www.juicemagazine.com/TOMKNOX.html.  There is a guy on Concrete Disciples (Miqskate) that claims to have witnessed it.

Speaking of the Indy book, check out pages 162-3.  Danny Sargent was pretty rough on trucks.  The fact that Indy's were beefier then makes it even gnarlier.

I might have that issue at my parent's house. It's funny, but it's not as interesting as you'd think.

if I remember correctly, Grind King is made with a softer aluminum than most trucks, so they wore down significantly faster.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.
