To do a dull thing with style, is preferable to doing a dangerous thing without it.To do a dangerous thing with style, that is what I call art.

"Manual- trick was first introduced by Sir Emanuel Garcia in 1787. First was called the "Sir Eman" but was later shortened to manual when brought to the states in 1804."

I always wondered about "no comply". It sounds weird and random. People don't name tricks like that anymore. Everything's just a variation of something else these days.

because calling it a "wheelie" would've been lame as hell.

we have our own language/lingo, something that everyones else out there has been biting since day one.

nope...stephop is the 180 one on flat ala ray barbee...no idea who invented that one...the no comply is over a curb and straight....

it's funny...the wheelie stuck for quite awhile the form of 'nose wheelie' I know at least around here it was that for along time eventually it became 'nose manual'....I may have said nose wheelie yesterday....

Same here, I still hear people say "nose wheelie" all the time, but I never hear anyone just say "wheelie" about a manual

Stalefish was named by Tony Hawk. Jerking off with no lube or anything is called stalefish, so there you go. Not kidding at all.

Isn't a 5-0 just one half of a 50-50?

A biker probably named it.  It is not the equivalent of a wheelie.

Please, correct people where they are wrong.
I was under the impression DP named them indies as a nod to his sponsor.
I don't see why Tony would have done the stalefish first and not named it. He named everything else he did, and a lot of the names were on par with stalefish.
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

I think Gonz might've been the first to grab stale, but Tony Hawk named it after figuring them out at one of those euro summer skate-camps, naming it after what was being served up for dinner every night at the camp.
