I missed the Nike SB Chronicles Vol. 1 video, but I guess it's on YouTube now. Everyone's parts ruled, and Clark Hassler's part was the best footage I've seen from him, aside from his varial heel ender in Nothing But the Truth:

SB Chronicles Unplugged: Daryl Angel presents Clark Hassler

How he doesn't have a pro board now is beyond me.

I honestly dont get it. I get the simplistic weird tricks and all , but to have a pro model off of that seems unrealistic. Then again that was Pops approach towards the end of his career and look what happened to him. unfortunately kids aren't into this kind of skating its usually older guys who get the difficulty of certain tricks that get it. Kids just wanna see a fs flip down 20 stairs.

I definitely see where you're coming from, I used to sleep on his footage. Patrick O'Dell used to write Thrasher articles and would discuss how light-footed and graceful Clark is, and that would make me want to see him skate. Then I saw Bag of Suck and I liked it but it kind of let me down at the time when I was younger. His NBTT part started to tune me in to the notion that what he's skating is a lot harder to ride than it looks, like the barrier-to-barrier ollie.

I'm sure kids would see the fakie 5-0 in the Chronicles part and have the "I could do that" moment, but like you said as we get older we realize how hard certain tricks at certain spots are, and that some spots in real life are much harder to skate. That doesn't always translate well into video which can result in lack of demand for a pro board, I guess. But Clark's always skated at a high level while sticking to his guns, and he's been am for almost a decade I believe, so those are the reasons why I think he should be pro. I think he's off Enjoi and he lives in NYC, it would be cool to see a pro board for him from 3D or another East Coast company.

Speaking of 3D, this BA Sheep part is fun to watch: Brian Anderson - Sheep Shoes "Life of Leisure" - 1996
