I skate either end.  It's the way to go.

Definatly.
For me it evenly wears down the nose and tail.
And I don't have to check and see if Im riding the right end.

But usually the tail and the nose rise at different angles so it doesn't make sense to just skate either end and not get the same pop every time... Just my theory.
I pop off the nose with my left foot and tail with my right foot.
Oh and it kind of bothers me when I see someone skating their board backwards and switch or to set up for a shuv/bigspin. Does anyone else even care about this?

I used to strictly skate the board backwards. When I first started out, I was misinformed by someone that the nose was actually the tail, and for my first year or so of skating I skated thinking that. When I eventually found out that I was skating my board wrong, by that time switching around to "the right way" just felt weird. So I skated my board backwards for quite sometime even after finding this out. Eventually though I got used to riding it "the right way". Now I skate it "the right way" most of the time, but really I just skate both ends. Some tricks I have more on dial on the nose and some tricks I have better skating on the tail.

i started off skating my board backwards for the same reason as everyone else. once i found out though, i would never skate my board backwards in any way. even for switch, i skated my board forward. (i thought it would help my mindset if absolutely no factors were changed other than my stance when skating switch; for the same reason, i never pushed switch mongo.) after a while, i started skating my board backwards for switch and fakie. (but i still don't push switch mongo.)

I had a friend who always rode his boards backwards. His logic was that since tailslides were harder than noseslides you would want more surface area in the back to get into them easier and have more control. I don't really do tailslides or noseslides ever so I never gave a shit.

this is good logic. i think i'll set up my next board backwards and see how it does for tailslides. haha

i skate with my board so its always facing normal after i land. like anything with a 180 i pop with my nose, unless its a nollie 180 variation. i feel like i break less boards that way and its just feels better
