Kristian Svitak starts Regulator Distribution
« on: July 13, 2010, 08:43:43 AM »
Kristian Svitak started Regulator distribution to distribute 1031 skateboards, Landshark Wheels, By The Sword Skateboards (vallely's company) Beer City Skateboards, and DRI records. What do you guys think about Not-Dead-Yet 1031 and regulator distribution?

Beer City used to have the best slicks ever... some sort of paint that was like a shell... it wouldn't peel off like the plastic shit, it would create a grain that just made it slide better and better.

I'm not too hip on Mike's graphic, but I like the fact that it's silkscreened. Gotta love sliding paint off your board.

Also, I like saying "ragga late."

1031 is probably pretty solid money wise, but by the sword... ehh half a year  :(

I can say my 1031 was one of the best skateboards I have ever had, the tail and nose where both chipped and it still had pop. I 100% back Svitak and hope it goes well.

I rode a couple of 1031's that came into our shop a while back... I can vouch for the wood as well.

Either way, I like Mike and Kristian, so I hope they're successful. I couldn't imagine starting up a business of any kind in this economy... gotta give Mike some credit for leaving (what I guess is) a financially stable place to do something on his own.

I like the fact there’s more of the stained wood grain boards with a graphic in the middle so you don’t that Walmart board Effect where the graphic completely flakes off in the middle leaving just bare wood .

I've spent the last 15 years mixing up Kris Markovich and Kristian Svitak. Here's to another 15.

I read it as "starts Regular Distribution" and pictured him distributing "regular stuff" like deodorant, crackers, dish detergent, etc.

I was more hyped on that...

I don't get why in this day and age you still need a "Distributor" business to take a share of your profits. Can't Beer City email retailers and ship Fedex themselves?
