xbox 360 help
« on: July 17, 2010, 08:41:57 AM »
I bought an box 360 just to play skate and old xbox games on, I got skate no problem, but I've been having a devil of a time getting the old games to work. Now, I know that the best way to do uit is to connect to xbox live and download it from there, but I live in the woods and have dial up.   I have a 60 gb harddrive and I've tried burning the required update onto a DVD and my USB flashdrive and nothing happens. I download the update, unzip it, copy the contents of the unzipped file on a dvd and burn it. I put it in my xbox, restart it and nothing happens. It just says "mixed media disc" and that's all. No option to open, or run it.

Does anyone have any advice? I really don't want to pay some nerd off of craigslist to do it all for me.

Cthulhu!

That's weird. When I first got my xbox I just put the old games in and it worked. Have you seen this stuff yet?

Yeah, that was the first place I looked. I don't know what I could be doing wrong.
