I'm pretty excited that Big Brother is held in such high regard in the skate world. That shit was totally raw and totally ahead of its time. The first issue I bought had the DC eurosupertour in it. Man, I was so hyped on DC at that time. I got the DC Rick Howard shoes in 7th grade and I thought I was the coolest mother fucker around! I still have that magazine and a lot of other ones from that time period. I still read them on the shitter too. I know my girlfriend wants me to get rid of them, but fuck that shit.

This is so true. It saddens me that mags like Vice thrive, when all they've really done is make Big Brother for a mainstream audience. It's a shame BB isn't around these days, skating needs someone to poke fun at it. Jenkem and even Skateline does a good job, but nothing can compere to BB at the height of their powers.

I would pay good money for all the Big Brother issues in digital format. Someone make it happen!
