Peter Hewitt and Al Partanen did the loop before Tony Hawk.  They helped build the original loop that Tony Hawk used to do it for the first time.  They figured since they helped build it they might as well do it.  Peter did it within a few tries, and I think it took Al ten tries or something.  I know they filmed it.  Who knows what happened to the footage, but it's out there somewhere.

I'm not hating at all Hewitt is beyond sick. But for the record Red did a loop like that where he carved around a bowl and looped a fullpipe a while back.
