I tried on the white leather ones and they looked and felt amazing, but this is disconcerting.  I usually don’t wear out shoes much where that stitching is, but still...
Maybe they’ll just be my spring/summer 18 chillers.

Seems like the toe panel of the city cup flops around once the stitching is torn, did Adidas not learn after that was an issue with the Samba advs? Such an easy fix...

Shoe costs less to make and they can sell you more pairs of shoes. Working as intended.

Those white Reynolds are really sexy. How is the boardfeel/durability compared to a Dunk for example? I'm really interested on those Reynolds. I'm debatin between the Reynolds and the NB# 533 V2s

I'd say on par with a dunk. They feel really thick at first, but the pour in foam flattens out over the break in period, so they get to be almost as thin as the NB533. The 533 start out really stiff at first, but the stack height isn't as tall as the g6. Hope that helps.

I blew out a couple pair of busenitz pro the same way, which was when I decided to start trying a different shoe after a years of just skating those because I can't stand shoe goo.  If this happens to me on my pair, I will be trying something new again.  So far I love them for chilling though.  I'll update when it starts being nice in the PNW and I get a chance to skate haha

The Shifters look almost identical to me. I always wanted the originals but missed them, so I'm gonna make sure to grab a pair this time.


And to whoever was asking about the Reynolds G6, they feel great. As someone said they feel really thick at first, but last night I dedicated most of the session to breaking them in and by the end they felt perfect. Supportive and nicely cushioned, but I can still feel my board and could flip my board well.

Yeah it's stil a good shoe and I'll be getting at least one pair. It's just weird making a skate boot and slim them down to the point of being just a regular shoe but in leather. What I liked the most about the OG shifter was that they actually had that boot look..

Now, I know what Deekay is talking about. The original ones definitely look better. The newer version’s model looks like it has pebbled leather, and I associate that with restaurant/non-slip shoes. I’m still backing it because of Heath gets royalties.

Not to stray way off subject, but @Deekay: Do you have any recommendation for shoes that look close to the OG Shifters? I wanted to get a pair for riding my bike and walking around...can’t find any with a midsole that looks as clean.
