« on: September 25, 2010, 09:06:55 AM »
Im sorry i dont have any photos, but in his new thrasher interview there a blatant picture of them. It says westgate on the tounge, and there high tops similar to the hsus. maybe somebody can scan it.

Is it really that hard to design a shoe that doesn't look exactly like a Vans shoe.

Other than the vulcanized sole, the shoe looks nothing like a Vans.  At least I can't recognize the paneling from any current Vans models, maybe some inspiration from the Converse Weapon.

agreed, the original hsu's weren't really my style with the large tounge and all, hsu's lows may be in my future though.

Didn't like the Hsu lows in real life, a bit disproportionate and too many lines.

Seeing the westgate reminded me how much I missed skating in these.

I wish I had bought the lo-tops too.

why does emerica and most es shoes have shitty herringbone that wears too quick when most etnies and some es shoes do a faux waffle that lasts somewhat longer.

Are you fucking kidding me?  ANOTHER HALF-CAB RIPOFF????

Please someone have the decency stop duplicating this shoe.  Vans did this shoe better when they did the half-cab pro.  The vans version is, no matter what,  the only one that counts.  But i guess you need to sell shoes to mall kids, and sometimes they don't understand things like quality and history.  I had the hsu version and the heel blew out in two days!  I will never make that mistake again!

ironically they call themselves "sole technology" yet they lack any kind of sole technology.

i like emericas(and down for westgate) but their soles wear out way too quick.
its not worth getting them unless you find them super cheap.

ran into westgate, leo and marquis skating around the city the other day and he had those on. they look awesome in person. and the footage from the spot we were at is ridiculous. westgates kickflips are heavenly.

that's like calling every low top the same.  the side paneling is completely different and so is the shape.  this shoe has more of a wedge profile
