I'd go one step further and say that El-P without El-P is the best El-P.

https://youtu.be/kekROxOTHSM

(that's the best indie rap album of all time)

I stand corrected, I forgot about this gem

"Vein" by Cannibal Ox is one of my favorites. Great album.

I think it's a great album but it still isn't dooms best work - though it is madlib's. Dooms best verses were pretty much all under the viktor Vaughn alias imo

I feel like Doom is kinda always on, y'know? I've never heard the man say anything corny. From there, it just depends on what beats you're into. I haven't listened to a lot of Viktor, though... I'd say my 2nd favourite of his is "Born Like This".

Fire album all around. Sometimes his flow gets a little repetitive but I still love it. I've got 7-Minute Freestyle on repeat

who is that in your sig? love it. I was about to ask in that shitty "hey white boys" thread but I didnt want to add to it again.
Plus I've been diving into hip hop heavily again so I might as well start following this thread.

you guys into RTJ? I'm gonna see them live next week, with Danny Brown too. Hyped!

Not a big RTJ fan but El-P's earlier stuff is fucking amazing. The whole company flow funcrusher plus album is maybe the best indie hip hop record of all time.

Born Like This is so underrated. His rhymes and flow on That's That is crazy.

El-P's beats on The Cold Vein are my favorites of his.

I don't about his best verses, but I know that Vaudeville Villain is underrated whenever DOOM comes up, it's in his top 5 albums imo.
