Up until about 4 years ago I had never owned a cell phone and I would always wear a watch to stay on time.
Back then I had always taken them off while skating because I would inevitably break them from falling within the first 45 minutes.
Well, since owning a cell phone I've considered buying a fresh battery to get my old watch running again when it occurred to me;
Watches have completely turned into an "accessory" item like a bracelet or a necklace.
Nowadays almost everyone is carrying a cell phone that can tell them the time.
and that's my short story. Thanks for reading it this far.

This dude is getting sponsors left and right. I saw an ad of his for Elm caps or something and he still only ever wears New Eras.

But it's good to see this stuff going to someone who deserves it.

Yeah, it's clear that all these bling-y nixon and krew watches are all show not go. A watch is a precision instrument, that should last you years and years.
