Anyone from Oklahoma City on these boards?
« on: November 08, 2010, 07:00:05 PM »
I have to travel up to OKC this weekend for work. I will be up there for 6 days. If anyone has any suggestions for shit to do to kill time after 5:00PM on weekdays, I would appreciate some suggestions (does not have to be skate related). I am going to bring a board, but I am not too crazy about the Hoffman BMX park. Since it gets dark pretty early now, is there anywhere else lit at night to skate? I would also be down to check out any touristy stuff if there is anything outside of the memorial to check out. Thanks in advance if anyone responds.

I just moved from Oklahoma but I've only been to OKC twice, not to skate though. Head around the Ford center, last time I went there was a shitload of empty streets and sidewalks. I'm sure you'll find some decent spots. Also check out the OKC bombing memorial. Keep safe in some neighborhoods, if I remember correctly the south side is pretty sketchy. Sorry but this is all I can do.

I checked out the memorial last time that I had to go up there for work. I will most likely check it out again. It is pretty surreal to see parts of the building still standing.

I spent a lot of time around Bricktown the last time I was up there, and I think I have most of my dinners mapped out thanks to the food network.....

I am still open to any suggestions for touristy crap that I can do after 5:00. I am probably going to try and catch a basketball game when the Rockets are in town on Wednesday. Outside of that, I have no clue what to do while I am there.
