I hate saying this, but the reason his sponsors didn't step in probably had something along the lines of his behavior making them money. ? That shit sells. ? Young skater, talented as fuck, covered with face tattoos who has a knack for saying unforgettable phrases.... oh and he's gotten a taste for booze and drugs? ? Well fuck yeah, if it means sales! ?  You're a fucking fool if you think companies like Shake Junt make money off fucking GRIP TAPE and BOLTS. ? It's all in personalities and catch phrases. ? It's fucking marketing genius.

Hopefully this is a wake up call though and some people who have his interest in mind step up and help him out. ? It's a shame to see any skater have problems regardless of if you think he is an asshole or not.

i think kids looked up to him not giving a shit, but in the last year its got so rediculous that the majority of skaters feel sorry for him and want him to get it together. people support him for his skating because he's so good. but if hes not going to skate...why support him

I hope Baker exploits this and runs an ad with his mugshot asking kids to send him money for commisary. They knew he had a problem and instead of lending a hand, they opened their wallets. He'll be fine, a year isnt that long and hopefully he'll come out a better person. Sometime its good to hit rock bottom to see thing for what they really are.

Skateboarding has gone soft.  Clearly I'm not happy about this, and don't pick fights like he does.. but people should look up to dudes who do what they want.  

Anyone saying Baker Boys didn't cut him off because of the money is tripping.  Antwuan obvs wasn't going to rehab or slowing down, so trying to keep him in the skate game was the best they could do.

I'm just gonna wish him the best and hope for a comeback down the line.  If not, who cares, celebrities falling from grace is nothing new.
