I used to ride nothing but ventures when I was a kid because they were the cheapest and lightweight.  But they're definitely not "the perfect truck".  In my experience they get worn down fast, bushings are fucked after the first sesh, and they teeter-totter more than actually turn.  Indy is by far the superior truck.  I love Pat Duffy though.

Venture LOs or HIs?

Aren't Ventures  out of the same factory as Indy and Thunder, and most likely the same exact aluminum? So all should wear from grinding at the same rate.

Usually 5.0 lows but I've tried the hi's a few times.  All I know is that my indys have outlasted all of my ventures and they still look like new.  But I'll admit that ventures grind really nicely and actually make flip tricks a little easier.  I'm actually tempted to try some 5.25 lows, maybe the V5s.

Ventures are probably the only popular truck besides Ace that I haven't messed around on, and I have no clue why. I have some little Indy Kostons on smaller one setup, and have been on a real Indy kick for a while, but I've been sticking to a bigger setup lately and have some wider Thunder hollow lights that I've been skating on everything.

And what superbherb asked... are they forged at Deluxe as well? I've been over there when they were pulling batches of trucks from the molds but only saw Indy and Thunders around there at the time. What other trucks are the turn comparable to?
