So far this year I have had a set of defective Thunders and a defective Toy Machine board. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the decrease in quality for all brands over the last couple years.

Post up your defects here.

I feel like every pair of shoes I have these days the sole starts too fall off and I have to shoe goo/super glue it back on. What the fuck is wrong with shoes companies these days? Maybe just a curse of vulc shoes, never had any cupsoles do it.

Could always be the glue they use or the technique on sticking the soles together.

Lakai Jericho, That lakai lakaitning sole fell off. It was ok, I got another free pair from them though.

Similar.  Jericho gum bottom peeling away from the side rubber at multiple places.  Also, the durability is brutal.  4 sessions and my front foot toe is toast.

Emerica Hsu whole entire vulk sole peeled off the heel.  Same thing also happened to a pair of Supras but to a lesser degree.

Bent indy axle.  Sending them back this week for warranty.

I saw a kid break a toy machine board the other day.  Snapped the tail off behind the back truck.  That's a defect right there.  Decks, if they do break at the truck, are supposed to happen on the inside of the base plate.

same thing with the pair of hsu's i had.. amazing performance.. but the sole lost its tread pattern within 3 weeks and the vulc started to peel off...unfortunately i have noticed this with MOST companies vulcanized soles. Lakai selects are pretty good vulcanized soles.

decided to wear my black / aqua MJ2s around and within a week the sole fell off from just walking. the glue holding them together mustve gone bad after a decade of their release

Nah, it probably would have fallen off if you wore them right out the box. Lakai cupsoles are notorious for falling right off.

edit: I've also had bad experiences with Toy Machine. They break faster than any other board I've skated.

i just got done using two toy machines back to back and both got pretty shitty pretty fast. the wood started to chip like the second day they were pretty much both done after two weeks of skating every now and then. the first one was $40 i thought had something to do with it but the second one was normal price and it was equally as bad.

Pair of the early Emerica Hsu's when they were canvas, perfectly shaped hole was dug out in the insole under the ball of my right foot after a few weeks. Weird

The Toy Machine i skated lasted for about two months and was one of the best boards I've skated in recent memory. On the other hand, this slave board started to crack the second or third day I skated it.

I never bought any sole tech shoes.

heard of nothing but heels peeling off since 2005 or something.

only problems i've ever had was axle slip on indys, girl delaminate and vans j-lay shoe which split open between the sole and the ollie area in 1 day.

A Toy Machine I got awhile back was delaminated, and started coming apart on the first day. Got it replaced with no problems though.

Had a utility board supply blank that delammed first session - they replaced it in a heartbeat.

I have a pair of indys that have the incorrect drill holes - I just ride them with three bolts in both the front and back.

I had a pair of the MJ-5, the fabric around the toebox started to rip. I asked my friend who works at the local skate shop and said that thats a factory defect and I should have gotten my money back, but I didnt know who to talk to about that.
