The hardflip at the end was sick.

Has anyone ever stepped to the gap in front of the Aon center that JT 180ed in Welcome to Hell?
[close]
Didn't know that. I assumed it was still there.

wasnt the whole front of aon different back then? i dont think its doable anymore, but i could be wrong
[close]

Yep, it's been remodeled, and is no longer doable. I checked the first time after recognizing the 180 from the vid being in Chicago.

[close]

Regardless, Aon is still in the top 5 spots in the city.

Weird. What typed wasn't in my last comment... not sure what I said anyway.

I used to skate there all the time but haven't been there in ages. The last time I was there the handi-rails were knobbed and pretty much only the 3 were skatable.

The 3 and the ledges around it are skateable - the ledges are my favorite in the city, as they slide and grind perfectly without being too slippery. There are gaps over blocks you can skate, as well as manny pads. Some more wax will really unlock the spot's potential (the curved ledges, the waterfall ledge (to create a bit of a ledge hallway), etc.)

The ones next to the slope rails or something different?

Is that place no longer a bust? I haven't been back to skate in Chicago in a while but the last time I was there security had that place locked down even on the weekends.

Those very ones. And during day hours, there can be a bust when you skate the area near the 3. I went there with a friend on a Friday night after around 10 and had at LEAST an hour long session.

I probably skated those more than anything else there.

Haha.  I'm trying to get my work to send me to Japan for training and then I can hopefully hang out for a few days afterward and get drunk and skate around and look at weird Japanese shit.

It should be noted that our session ended because we ended it. No bust at all.

Sounds familiar, but I've never been there.  I've got date night on Friday and a friends birthday Saturday night, but I'd be free during the afternoon or Sunday.

I'm going to be staying with my friend Amanda, she is a super rad girl that skates and has neck tattoos. But while im there I'm also going to be meeting up with my friend Jessie and some of the beerics dudes. Im not sure when we will be skating the ramp. I guess it may even be nice enough to skate outside. Then on monday we are going to Mill to skate cream city.

I haven't been to and indoor park once this winter.  I feel like a boring adult and I get sad every time I see my board in my closet.

I haven't actually skated in two months.  Rolled through the parking lot for a minute when it dried up once.  Go, shake the rust off.  I am going to make the effort to go.

Don't guilt me into this!!  I cave into peer pressure easily.
List of excuses:
1.  I'm leaving work early on Friday so I can't on Monday
2.  It's far
3.  I'm a boring adult
4.  It's almost warm out
5.  Traffic
6.  New gf to take advantage of

List of excuses:
1.  I'm leaving work early on Friday so I can't on Monday  -  You get off work at 4. (wild guess, is that close?)
2.  It's far - it's farther for me
3.  I'm a boring adult - me too, step out
4.  It's almost warm out - more spots in two rooms than you will skate in the next two months near home.  ( assuming it rains all spring)
5.  Traffic - and tolls.  Fair.
6.  New gf to take advantage of - She has no time for you on a Monday, and you'll do her this weekend.

5 actually. But fair points.  Possibly can get off at 4 again we'll see.  Plus I can stay at my parents I suppose to save myself an hour.  You might have a deal.

I'm 90% sure I'll be at Cream tomorrow.  I'll be the older has-been wearing these.  No need to make fun of me, I paid less than $30 for them.  A simple "nice shoes kook" will be introduction enough.
