Nah but I might be there Wednesday and/or Thursday evening for a little bit, I just gotta dig out one of my old boards.

This is the one that snapped, by the way. All I fucking did was Ollie down the six.

This park looks amazing.
What are those black planter ledges made of?

Anyone skate Chinatown? Do the Chinamen bust balls? Can you bum cigarettes easily? I remember taking a 7th grade field trip there and come to think of it, it would be fun to skate. Also I skimmed through some article that dealt with a street that is going to look like a European one, i.e no curbs. So its just flat ground for pedestrians and cars. Forgot where it was exactly, but just a heads up.

Has anyone skated the park on the river? Ping Tom Memorial Park I think.
It's on the other side of the Chinatown Square and homes beyond that. Looks like there might be some shit there.

I've never seen any footage with Chinese architecture in a Chicago video so I don't think there's anything at Ping Tom.  I go to the two main streets in Chinatown a lot and there's really nothing there except excellent, cheap food.

Fair enough. I don't ever recall there being much of anything in Chinatown proper. Then again there are a lot of places with spots that I rarely, if ever, see footage of. I need me an eyeball witness.

There's also a park in the West Loop called Mary Bartleme Park that looks like it's got a ton of shit to skate.

I work two blocks from that park. Flatbars are skatable but not great. The supports are spread far so you gotta be light on your feet or just skate near the ends. The wallrides/steep ass banks all have about 6 to 12 inches of crushed gravel in front of them, not impossible but not worth it either. I can't remember seeing a bit of wax on the ledges, but as it's a highly-frequented dog park I doubt it's worth the hassle. It's never not busy there when it's nice out.

Ya, grounds covered by a foot of snow here. There's an indoor park called Asylum in Lake Bluff. It's a little outside the city, they sell scooters and it isn't the best. Closest good indoor park is Cream City up in Milwaukee.
