It lived up to the hype. His production definitely matured. And so many songs too.

Production is super chill, cool ideas, good jams, but i'm more looking forward to a new Earl album, or his next.

Nightmare is ridiculous and is leagues better than Yonkers.

The album is super solid, he didn't change the world or nothing though.

Bastard was dark and unique as fuck, sometimes hard to listen to. This one is easier to listen to more consistently and brings something different, but Bastard had something special. He at least matched it with this album, from my own jaded as fuck view. Definitely brings the heat.

Up one more time if those other links get taken down
Probably take it down tomorrow and put it back up in individual tracks

I still think I like Bastard better than Goblin
You guys should listen to Bastard then this right after, sounds better when put together like a story.

Lyrically and technically he's progressed as a rapper immensely. But, the beats and production really hampered this album for me. Yes, he's only 19 and produced the beats entirely by himself, but god damn a vast majority of the synth melodies and phrases on this record are just ill-conceived and poorly executed. I've always realized that Tyler's not the most proficient musician but the beats on Bastard, Earl, and Rolling Papers were far more effective and memorable. This is all coming from a gigantic fan of OF too. Regardless of all that, there were some fantastic tracks here that definitely demonstrate progression: Tron cat, She, Analog, Golden. Overall, kinda bummed on the record but who cares. Mellowhype "Numbers" should be the shit.

Just heard the bonus tracks now and it feels like it makes the album twice as good.  Burger is the shit.

Looking forward to Numbers, hope it's not too tamed down.  Also anxiously awaiting an Earl interview, what the hell's he been doing in Samoa and will he ever return to the Golf Wang?

i agree, "nightmare" has some of the best lyrics in the album, and it's cool to listen to cause it's a crucial point to understanding the storyline of the album, but the beat for it is so fucking weak. it's not gripping at all, it's just so boring. window beat is pretty lackluster too but that song is just overall really good so it doesn't matter. on the other hand, the beats for golden and goblin are some of the best, and you can't forget yonkers and sandwitches, those beats are really good too. best of album production-wise is rolling papers.

also, radicals is pretty awful in general. the hook was used better in 'pigions,' and i generally don't like the songs tyler has where he raps through shouting like in 'splatter' unless it's a tina-esque song or golden. seems like he's trying too hard, i changed it after 5 minutes or so.
