California Skate Spots

I'm going to study at the UCLA coming February and if anyone could tell me some spots or guide me to a good website where spots are listed around the areas of Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas and San Francisco... that'd be great! I heard that a car is absolutely necessary so I'll rent one while I'm there! I think I can find Venice Beach & Huntington Park (does it still exist?) but thats that.

My preference would be simple ledge spots since I don't really wanna get hurt too bad on sets or so, so if anyone knows anything, please help me . Thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated!

your best bet is to go to stoner park and you should be able to find someone willing to help you out. from ucla you'll be able to take the santa monica blue bus to stoner.

Great thanks, that was actually my plan! I'm gonna drive by car so can you please tell me the exact adress of the Stoner Park? I google'd it and I'm not sure I dont really wanna hit up the swimming pool

Is there something similar in San Diego or Santa Barbara areal, somewhere where I can just ask the locals then!?

I'm a newer student in SLO. I'll be heading up to SF in about a month and I know some spots.
My friend I'm going with says he knows a french dude on adidas so I hope he can show us around.
But I'd like to visit LA to skate at some point. Maybe I'll see you or the Gip around.
