This is one of the sickest things to me. Two pros with separate but equally amazing approaches to skateboarding sharing a mutual respect for one another and being stoked on each other's skating. This is what skateboarding is, no matter the level you do it at. Just fucking awesome.

Also, Emmanuel, I've always pictured you as one of those guys that can do a trick if he imagines that he can. Do you ever really battle with tricks, or do you generally get them pretty quick?

A little out of left field but I remember some time ago there was a video of you hanging out with Jaimie Thomas and telling him that your mom or your sister wrote a famous love ballad at 13 or something along those lines ha. Can you refresh my memory on what thats all about? Sounds really interesting.

My great aunt Consuelo Velazquez wrote Besa me Mucho, it's a very famous love ballet. Everybody from the Beetles to Sinatra have covered it.

Honestly every trick is a battle for me, especially if it's one that I'm trying to learn. It keeps things exciting, like a reward for your efforts, I always say a day of skating is better with a little blood!

Ha ha! I've heard that before, and although he rode for SC we rarely skated together, so your imagination is good. Last I heard he is an arborist(chops limbs off of trees), pretty cool job. I hope he's good whatever he's doing.
