because when you use your power to slide your board it feels very manly yet subtle. <3

For me it's the feel and the sound. Especially the barking sound on smooth concrete! Love it!

Yes. Was just about to post about that. I love giving a little pop and getting part of the slide on just the nose, no wheels at all. Feels pretty nice.

anyone have tips for doing the backside ones ? I can do them but its hard to keep your speed while doing them.... i always seem to screech to a halt. i have been doing them for years. when i first started trying them while trying to maintain speed i would just do little ones, and progressively have gotten fruther and further... but my friend justin can just do them like 2 meters and have his full speed. i think im just not putting my ass into it enough.

This probably actually belongs in the appreciation section, but whatever. I love going down a hill and surfing out some powerslides, its fun to do a few back to regular, slide around to fakie, do some switch and halfcab powerslides, maybe a few tailslide/blunt ones (they feel more like tailslides to me) and just cruising around making my way down the hill pretending I'm Tommy Guerero in an old powell video.
I definitely think the difference between sober hill bombing and drunken hill bombing is the ability to powerslide though, I just don't have the damn grace then. Its go time, and if I eat shit when I'm drunk, I'll figure it out tomorrow when I've got bruised and swollen scrapes that stick to the sheets overnight.
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

I wish I was better at them backside. It just takes time I guess.

I just got new wheels that are bigger so I'll be doing them a lot.
