Satori Goo Balls
« on: April 24, 2011, 02:10:55 AM »
Has any one here tried these wheels? I want to get the 59mm for a cruiser. I wanted to hear what the SLAP PALS who've tried em' got got to say? Thanks!

Do it!

Tried the Krooked wheels (58mm) for the sake of matching the Zip Zinger and they were slow even w/ Bones Swiss in a skatepark.

Switched to some 64mm 84a Satori Eco Easy Riders and it's gigantic improvement.

Also, I'm gonna be using high indy 129's on the small zip zinger with 59mm goo balls, should i use risers?

Maybe 1/8" risers. Even with 129s, the wheels will stick out enough on a Nano that wheelbite won't be much of an issue. Also with a smaller board you'll have less leverage and it will be harder to turn (compared to a normal-sized deck).

Personally, I could never get into big soft wheels. I put some 58mm Spitfires on my ZipZinger and it still felt comfortable for doing tricks on.

I've never come across them myself, but from what im to understand, they usially only cost like $5, and if you get one that tastes really good, you probably arent gonna get all that high (but whatever, 5 bucks for a tasty treat the size of your hand is still pretty good), and if you get one that kinda tastes like gross filthy hippy hands, you'll be feeling its "special" effects for the rest of the night.
