Another week? Bullshit. It's only been like five days in the first place and this is the longest it's ever been down. And no, there's no indication that Sony will begin charging for the network. I don't see this lasting for more than 3 more days.

Also, who do you think is responsible? I don't know what would motivate Anonymous to hack a free service and thereby mainly hurting consumers and developers so I don't think it was them but an article I read said it could be a few Anons acting independently of the group. This shit sucks. I'm trying to play Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat online already.

It's too bad, but hackers will always be around trying to steal shit. It's funny reading the comments on the playstation site. Some people play video games every waking moment and now they are going through withdrawls like a crack addict. It might take a awhile because they are investigating the matter and rebuilding their servers to try and make it "safer". The lack of info on Sony's part was really lame though.

I just heard about this on the newsradio today, which is funny considering I spend so much time reading video game sites and blogs and never heard about it. Then again I regret buying my ps3 so i have no interest in PS3 news.

anyway, they said sony hasnt released a statement which of course they sensationalize into meaning sony has no answers and are powerless. Also that the hackers are stealing credit card info. email address's and passwords.

isn't PSN+ a pay service now like xlive? in other words are people paying for a service they aren't getting and will they be refunded? That's another huge issue they will have to deal with.
