How hard is it to skate the suede Dylans? If I can get a pair for cheap, I've always wanted to try them.

which ones, the grey ones or the black ones?

the black ones are fucking amazing skate shoes, end of. the grey ones are good BUT the sole is prety damn slippy, so id only skate the fancy dylans if i was doing small and reasonably easy stuff normally. they are stupidly comfortable though

All after a day skating?

Received my waxed Dylan Slip-Ons today in the mail. Not only do they look killer but they're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

i can honestly say i've never owned anything by gravis nor anything under the analog umbrella for as long as i've been alive.
i don't think they're as prominent here as over in the west coast.

maybe not uptown but downtown and brooklyn every other dude i see is rocking that dylan kit. people dig that shit.

you're probably right but most of the people that are downtown and in brooklyn these days are transplants from the west coast and middle america.  they are not actual new yorkers.

How are the Dylan Mids? Would like to try Gravis, but most of the shoes look painfully thin.

I'd recommend them. Basically filter mids. And for the thinness, all Gravis insoles have great padding.

i wanna get some gravis particularly the dylan slip on in black suede, but i dont know how true to size they are, i normally wear a 9 in everything, but a 8.5 in eras/authentics, what would the right size be? or maybe i'll get janoski's, fuck.......

i'd say they fit pretty close to janoski's, they are both pretty slim shoes.  I echo what someone else said and say stay away from the canvas unless you want to be shoe-gooing your shoes. I actually patched my red canvas dylan slip-ons with a piece of suede just because i loved skating them so much. the soles last forever but not the uppers. weartested.de did the dylan slip-ons suede. http://www.weartested.com/?p=773

I've had a few pairs of the vulcanized Dylan slip ons. they're pretty good.

I copped a pair of filters for 15 bucks off some snowboard site a while back, skated them for a few sessions and just have them as back ups.. grippy and break in pretty easy. But I don't see them being super durable or anything, can't complain though. I wouldn't pay too much for anything Burton related either.
