I personally don't think South Park is that funny anymore, but that doesn't make me a "fucking idiot."  Maybe if I played that game, id think the episode was funny, but I dont, so I found the episode pretty stupid.

I've never played it but I'm a computer tech at my university meaning I work with a bunch of nerds who never shut the fuck up about that game, and yeah I thought that episode was really funny.

I actually agree, I just thought this episode was funny because it made fun of them online gamers and their dumbass lingo. They think using words like NOOB, PWNT, UBER, or whatever make em seem like theyre hard or some shit. Fuckem.

I think people are starting to realize how bland "random" humor is

south park did kind of hit the head when it came to the randomness of family guy.  after i saw that and watched family guy i noticed how often they make a referance and then a flashback.

simpsons did that same referance/flashback thing, and i really stopped liking that stuff about 6 years ago (middle school).  I've only seen 2-3 family guy episodes before.  South Park used to be really good from what i remember but that WoW episode was pretty dry...

Just because something is animated does not mean that it is necessarily intended for children or that it cannot be enjoyed by adults without them being “weird.” There are plenty of animated movies and shows that are intended for adults only. I mean, why do you think that Family Guy is shown later at night on “Adult Swim” on the cartoon network, it’s not even meant for kids, the target audience are adults.

Sure, Family Guy uses cutaways, but not nearly as much as South Park showed.  FG has plenty of jokes that aren't cutaways.  I agree that they use them too much, but they seem to be cutting back a bit this season.

I don't think of it as they cut back because of that, I think of it more as they're going back to the form of the older episodes where they used alot less cutaways.

You may have a point there... Well then, how about the animated part of the movie "Kill Bill" for example. That is in an R rated movie, so it is definitely intended for adults. That is just one example, they produce all kinds of animated movies in Asian countries that is defiantly not intended for kids, everything from serious dramatic films to weird henitai porn. Only in the U.S. does animation have the stigma attached to it that it is “Only for children”, but even that is starting to change they even give an Academy Award for best animated film now.

I'm not disagreeing with you, it'd be pretty ignorant to say that all animation is for children
